Huh, we didn't have a thread for this until now?
Overall, I like this series. The super powers that appeared out of place at first kinda more or less fits in the more I watch, and I don't really have a problem with it now. I still think the artstyle reeks of being too overly-colorful and the fashion sense for some characters are weird as hell, but it isn't quite as jarring anymore. The new girl has huge, huge knockers, the beast dude's coolio and reminds me of Wolverine or a similar character. Art still remains my favorite character, because even the fact that Kamiya voices him aside, his design is just downright nice.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueI personally think it's cute, and I like superpower stories - they're really fun, especially in an urban setting. I'm also happy that the cases are mostly relevant and showing what Moral's up to. The colors are a little jarring, let's be real, and this series seems pretty fond of psychadelic colors, but I think it's all part of the fun. For the record, I really like Ratio.
Soooo, anyone want to make a theory as to why these kids have names like Birthday and Three?
It's worth noting that this is being animated by a newbie studio.
The anime's been nice so far. The first episode did not leave favorable impressions, but it quickly became clear that its strength was not in being a kooky detective show. It's not really "good" per se, but it has flashes of good direction and writing ( one example in the latest episode would be Honey saying that even without her future-seeing device there'll always be a future she can believe in).
I've read the manga, which clears up some of the details right off the bat (like why the term is Minimum Holder, and how Nice is the top student), but it's also more straightforward, so I have to approve of the anime's style.
If there's one thing I wat from this show, it's that they elaborate on the Minimums more.
I found episode 5 hilarious. Then there was that scene at the end.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Episode 5:
- Converge at the hot springs for some R & Fun!
- Hajime's Minimum activates when she eats something. She's super strong. Also explains why she eats a lot.
- Hajime also has her priorities straight. Saving a epic meal.
- Aw, what? He was such a cool old guy, too. Watch yourself, Art!
Beast dude's more like Beast (how coincidental) than Wolverine. Both he and Beast have this air of sophistication around them; the latter's a bookworm and intellectual, while the former appears to be a pastor/priest or a fairly religious person at least.
Haven't watched ep 5 yet.

Episode 6: Let's talk about the true value of Art. No, not the police officer.
- Hey, some Birthday/Ratio focus. What a history those two share.
- Chiyuu's manager's an idiot. But more importantly, another non-innate Minimum Holder.
- Yay for Minimum combination attacks.
- Art had a little brother. And he really doesn't want to talk about Moral. But... Nice knows, anyways.

Episode 7 was pretty good. I was even motivated to add more images to the character list.
Episode 7:
- We learn more about their time at Facultas. They came at different times, left at different times.
- Three's a reliable teacher.
- ...Huh. No need to worry about Gasquet being a bad guy. It was Moral all along. You know what else he did? Killed Art. In front of his brother's grave. After telling him not to brandish his gun in a place of the dead. After saying some more stupid things to justify his actions! What a prick!!

It really sucked to see Art get killed.
By the way, while both sides were jerks, those idol fans needed more of an ass whupping.
Episode 8: To Okinawa. For the beach, for the triathlon, for confronting reality, and the bitter melon. So bitter!
Nice is too perfect. Even Murasaki has hang-ups about him. But he ain't giving up.
Theo and that delinquent are now buds. But, I have to agree with Rei, Theo didn't do jack.
It was funny seeing Honey, Three, Birthday, and Ratio getting dragged into this chaos.
And Moral's up to no good, of course. And he has an assistant?

Rei and Honey are the delicious of the delicious. Sucks we don't get the drama from finding out Art is ded, but hey that was a great beach episode.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueMurasaki's a cool dude.
Episode 9:
- Three has quite the past, and his way of atoning's very wrong. Good thing Honey came to the rescue, eh?
- Protecting your ideals...can sometimes become twisted.
- When Koneko refuses a job opportunity, you know the client's a jerk.
- Hey, it's the woman that Birthday was chatting up when he was hospitalized. So she's Moral's assistant... And Moral's having way too much fun...
Hey look, a Hamatora game's coming out in the summer.

>3DS
Nope. Not getting it, simple as that.
So yay, loli Honey, Moral is a bastard for using Art's identity, and I can get where Three is coming from, but I'm glad Honey is going to prevent that.

"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueThree's backstory is pretty nice.
Episode 10: The city's in a darn right mess. Moral finally shows himself to Nice.
You'd think they'd dispose of it given how careful they were about leaving evidence.
By the way, crazy guy who wrapped a tongue around his head was the first perp in the manga.
Most useless Minimum ever. Works well enough as a makeshift balaclava, but damn it's gonna hurt if he gets cut or something.
He happens to be a reject, so yeah.
Episode 10:
- Anarchy reigns! Sorta.
- Super Hacker Florist Woman says some deep stuff as well. I wonder why Moral told her to keep Art's corpse for safekeeping?note
- She also knows where you live, all ye internet bullies. Hamatora sure loves its social potshots.
- Nice meets Moral. What will happen now?
- Takahiro's mom, just...burn or something.
I must say that I thought the use of Holst's Mars during the riot scene was brilliant. The rest of the episode was good as well although that may not be Art's corpse, he could just be seriously hurt and hacker woman is treating him
If he's alive he's either got a very passive/weak minimum that boosts his survivability (like a weak Healing Factor or just a plain defence boost) that went undetected, or Moral's a really really really bad shot.

I'm liking it so far.
