Children see the world with an unrivaled sense of wonder and magic. They see miracles in the most mundane of places, and can find enjoyment in the most tedious of things. Although it doesn't last forever, it does grant these kids something amazing: Imagination. These children can then use this gift, and create their perfect friend, their Imaginary Friend. Imaginary Friends come in all shapes and sizes, and only appear to their human in this world, but they do not exist in one world alone. Their Imaginary Friends also inhabit The Dreamlands, home of all dreams and imagination, a world built out of the collective minds of every living being on the planet.

Life for Imaginary Friends is typically a good one so long as their creator remembers them, or holds some sort of connection with them, but as soon as a Friend is forgotten, their cast out to the depths of The Dreamlands until they fade away. Despite this seemingly tragic end, it commonly accepted as a peaceful way to end an existence, and keeps balance in the world. However, something is threatening to destroy the way of life for all dreams. A force known as the Evil Thought has begun an assault on the Dreamlands by forcefully removing a group of Imaginary Friends from the minds of their creators, casting them to the deepest, darkest corners of the Dreamlands. Now, these Imaginaries must find a way to return to their children's minds before they cease to exist, all the while keeping themselves alive amongst the horrors that lurk in back of our minds.

So this is your typical grand journey Roleplay with what I hope is an original twist. I've had this Idea for a while, and I hope that we can actually do something fun with it.

Anyways here are a few things of note:

  • You can be creative with your character's appearance, but try to keep it from being way too outrageous.

  • All of the stolen Imaginary Friends have one thing in common: They served some purpose for their Creator. Ex. To adjust to the loss of a pet, a little girl creates an Imaginary friend who just so happens to be a large purple cat, and who eventually helps her overcome the grief of losing a pet. Or a father figure for a fatherless child. Or a role model for a kid who has none. Just don't go Grimdark on me.

If you have any questions or if I wasn't clear (which frankly I may not be) then please ask away!

this looks cool ill try it

Name: Cassiopeia the Galactic Fairy (or just Cassie)

Age: About 14 in appearance

Gender: Female

Appearance: Generic fairy, pixie-like pointy wings and ears, long black-blue hair in bangs, sheer sleeveless midnight blue dress with a space pattern

Personality: Collected and calm. Acts almost regal, but not above it all, and loving and friendly to those who need it. Fierce sense of justice and comeuppance.

Abilities: 'Magic wand' that, at full power, allows her to travel through space, but currently only allows her to see it, like a very powerful teloscope. Mild premonitory abilities. Flight, unless she gets wet or her wings are torn.

Kid's Name: Colleen

Kid's Gender: Female

Kid's Age: 7

Kid's Backstory: Colleen was a prodigy, teaching herself to read at the age of 3, with an immense interest in space. She has issues with attention and social skills, and that combined with her bookish personality afforded her no friends. Cassiopeia tailored to her interest in magic, space, and her loneliness.

(the kid is based on my life so yes it is possible to teach yourself to read at 3)
