Yeah, I'm thinking they'll probably tone him down to Quicksilver levels to start.

I'm thinking Wally probably won't be introduced in the first season or at least not immediately in the first season.

I'm seeing Wally/Kid Flash as second season material, really.

Actually, even in that case, I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in season 1, but doesn't get any significant screen time or storylines until season 2. (Though OTOH, it might be impractical to lock someone up in a contract now just for that. I'd expect his name to come up, at the least. Something like Iris saying "I gotta run; I'm babysitting my nephew Wally tonight while his parents take a date night.")

Candice Patton will play Iris.

I think it is a good casting choice at first I wasn't too sure because I'm not a fan of race-lifts between media. But good actors can make me change my mind.

Carlos Valdes is playing Cisco Ramon aka the guy who eventually becomes Vibe in the comics.

I'm hoping that the superspeed looks less like the smallville "Christmas lights moving across the screen" and more like the "holy shit your over here all of a sudden" deal the Kryptonians had in Man Of Steel.

Given that Smallville premiered 13ish years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if the CGI has improved greatly. However, they don't have a movie budget, so I'm guessing somewhere inbetween.

It's not so much CG as stylistic choice. In Smallville you saw Clark moving across the screen as "a blur" which got the job done but looked a little goofy. Compare to the 15 second mark or so in this video.

They said they wanted the CG effect of the Flashes speed to be more reminiscent of the comics.

John Wesley Shipp needs to be cast as Jay Garrick. He doesn't even have to be a Flash or a Speedster at all, just a mentor to Barry.

Eh, I'd be careful with trying to predict casting. Especially when so many 'WTF' choices for comic book characters tend to turn out amazing, and predicted shoe-ins turn out horrible.

Tom Cavanaugh has been cast as the disgraced scientist who built the particle accelerator that gave Barry his powers in Arrow.

Yeah, not so much. The show was cancelled because of poor ratings, which were largely do to the unexpected competition from the Gulf War.

I think that stems from some rumors that he was fooling around on set with one of the male actors back when he was on Dawson's Creek.

This is the first I've heard of either of those reasons.

It's called Dawson Casting for a reason so probably not. And 90s Flash was cancelled because it was a crappy show.
