It's a comic about Earth's greatest archer. He makes up for his low manual feed ROF by slinging all sorts of trick arrows. He was trained by the bad guys and used to be a villain himself, but is now a hero. One of his most powerful contacts is the leader of secret agent organization.
The woman who's most the love of his life distracts with her voice and then finishes off the bad guys with her staff. This is just one of the many pair teamups he's had over the years, but he's most notable for his association with a superhero team, where he clowns around with the strongman of the team and has a more philosophical relationship with the WW-II hero who wears a costume inspired by the American flag and is notable for skill in deflecting bullets.
There, now you're all caught up on both DC and Marvel.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."I like the Flash, but I couldn't give less of a shit about Green Arrow. I've never found him an interesting character.
Hey, I've always thought of him as a weak Hawkeye knockoff, but the show made him a LOT more interesting.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Which is funny, since Green Arrow came 20 years earlier.
Honestly, I just watched the first season on Netflix and I was rather impressed with Arrow. Green Arrow always came across as a Batman knock-off, yet somehow the show really took him in interesting directions by making him even MORE of a Batman knock-off, which made the more subtle differences stand out more. Like the social aspect of his return from the dead; having a mother, sister, real friends, party-friends, vengeful ex-girlfriend, etc to deal with. And the dual storylines between his activities in the present and his adventures on the island that gave him the skills he has now.
I am excited about The Flash, which is the reason I decided to check out Arrow.

In fairness, they're both Robin Hood knock-offs. And Hawkeye did have their similar personality first.
What I was pointing out above is that the Arrow TV series has changed GA to better match to elements in Hawkeye's comic books. For example he's dating Mockingbird now.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Hasn't Green Arrow been in a relationship with a bird-named female hero for awhile now?
Yes, but Canary's conception has been changed to much more closely match Mockkingbird's.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Interview with Andrew Kreisberg about casting of Captain Cold, Flash bringing more sci-fi elements that Arrow couldn't, the surprise at the end of the Pilot, Barry and Iris relationship, Barry's character, Ronnie Raymond, and the other half of Firestorm.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThey're keeping their cards close to the vest on Firestorm's other half, huh?
Firestorm's other half will be a "Transgender Samoan Atheist".
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."The other half will be a nerd.

If you mean martial artist street vigilante (I haven't seen Arrow), that was Black Canary original characterization.
Hopefully she'll be disarmed the same way as her first appearance in the comics.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."So many C-list villains making live-action debuts...
Who's going to be next?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Depends. Who else in comicdom has a memorable Rogues Gallery? Aside from the obvious.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117To be fair, both Plastique and Killer Frost have been showing up in adaptations a lot - Killer Frost especially. I've been wondering why she's been so popular lately.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Maybe DC is jumping on the Frozen bandwagon?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117She appeared in the Justice League cartoon. I guess she's really popular since Firestorm is the most overpowered hero (yes I'm speaking the truth) in the DCU and writers don't know what to do with him.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Pretty sure that's Captain Atom, at least when he's not being reduced to a standard Flying Brick with power beams.
How is Capt. Atom more overpowered than Firestorm? Enlighten me.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. They both have transmutation, which lets them "one punch" Supes and MM.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."
My sister plans to only watch The Flash but that is because she hasn't really watched Arrow and doesn't want to catch up even though I have Season 1 Blu-ray/DVD and will have Season 2 Blu-ray/DVD before Season 3 airs.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
