Suggestion: Hood Hopping

I honestly don't think the first frame is necessary, but other than that I think it's fine.

2x2 lattice set panes.

Absolutely doesn't need the first frame, probably doesn't need the second frame (it's pretty obvious he jumped onto that car hood without a "before").

I'll make a 1 X 2 but Willbyr wanted to see the whole set so I'll wait to see what he says.

Part of the reason I like having the first frame is because it establishes the hopping...without it, the Agent could be falling in from past the top of the panel or even jumping from the wall on the side of the road if you're not familiar with the sequence.

The last suggestion is pretty good.

I would think you would see it like you read words on a page.

1 -> 2

3 -> 4

Like that.

That arrangement would work.

I'll try it but without a carryover arrow from 2 to 3 would not it be confusing?

People's eyes naturally move that way, unless you read Arabic or Yiddish as your first language.

Just a quick swap.

You got them out of order.

It should go: 1 -> 2, 3 -> 4

Not 1 -> 2, 4 -> 3

The third one should be last.

Four frames and arrows?! That is kind of insulting to readers, and (more) unnecessary clutter. No arrows :)

The extra frames are really ugly IMO, not nearly worth the small increase in clarity. Here is one that's over twice as concise, is it half as clear? (Color-corrected and other improvements also.)

Looks much better. Definitely the best version so far (and I agree on how those arrows are causing unnecessary clutter)

The tint seem to make the image appear dirty though, even if it is the "correct" version

Looks better is far more important than what it's supposed to look like. Otherwise we shouldn't brighten images either. And it's the best version so far.

41 looks pretty good, even if altered from source material. I would prefer to use the full frames even if not all of them, and I only kept pushing for all four because Will wanted to see them.

He still hasn't green-lit a non-4-frame version.... Yet.

I deeply appreciate all the work he does here, and respect his authority, but Willbyr isn't the emperor or something. Take things mods say extra seriously? Totally. Wait for a "green light" before a version of an image can be considered? No way.

(I realize we have done effectively that for images that toe the content policy line, but there is no admin decision here, that is irrelevant. This is "mod hat off" stuff.)

Very true (and thanks). I'm not 100% opposed to 41, it just seems incomplete. If that's the consensus vote, it's not gonna cause me a lick of grief.

Understandable perspective, yes. On the contrary, I wasn't implying that any "Mod permission" was required in our proceedings here, however as I do value the specific tastes and opinions they provide in respect to particular images, I prefer to save time by following their considerations even if others or I don't agree.

We've gone over this about Eddie as well, no?...

EDIT: Still look cluttered? And I did some "color-correction"

41 is still clearer to me.

49 might work if properly colour-corrected, without the arrows. Standard Western reading order is enough.

I don't really pay attention to mods as mods unless they're pink. I find many of them more reasonable than the average poster, though.
