The Nickelodeon Animation Studios YouTube page has been uploading a whole slew of shorts/potential pilots! Here's just a few of 'em!

A bunch of old Nicktoons and 90s live action shows are now available for streaming on VRV.

Hey, remember the Rockos Modern Life movie that Joe Murray made? Remember there was a preview last year?

Apparently it might see release on Netflix, and so will the Invader ZIM movie.

(Pumping my fist because I got Netflix.)

Well I got done watching the surprisingly good Bleach movie, so I am definitely hype to see those two Nick movies once they hit Netflix. Especially Rocko’s Modern Life.

Has anyone noted the new racing game coming out? It seems pretty bare-bones. It seems they're only using classic Nicktoon characters that are getting reboots or movies. It's a shame but at least it's a licensed console game.

I've heard of it. I'm honestly kind of baffled that they're only pulling 12 characters from four different shows. Given that the selling point of mascot kart racers like these are the characters, with 25+ years worth of Nicktoons, I would have expected them to go all out like Nicktoons Racing did back in the day with only ten years of material to draw from, not just go with a measly 4 relevant new and classic Nicktoons.

To compare:

• Nicktoons Racing (2001; 12 Nicktoons to draw from): 12 characters; 8 shows represented (SpongeBob, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, The Wild Thornberrys, The Angry Beavers, CatDog, Aaahh! Real Monsters, Ren & Stimpy)
• Nickelodeon Kart Racers (2018; 30+ Nicktoons to draw from): 12 characters; 4 shows represented (SpongeBob, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, TMNT 2012)

To only have a mere four shows out of that many represented in a Nickelodeon crossover game in 2018 just kinda comes off as lazy to me.

I can understand Ren and Stimpy being left out at least, owing to its creator being a piece of work. But the sheer lack of shows represented is really bothersome, considering it's a paltry four shows out of the amount represented in the example.

Yeah, this new Nicktoons racing game seems like a cheapen version of the original with its small pool of roster; and the original, for the lack of a better word, is a Shovelware title.

Seriously its amazing how it does even include some of the more recent Nicktoons like Loud House, Welcome to the Wayne or even fucking Kid Danger. Hell it would of been cool if they included some of the 2000s shows that existed that haven’t made it to the original due to year they debuted in. Pretty much a waste of potential.

I think we all know what season it is, right?

Soo I haven't been too interested in Nick as of late, but y'all remember that short that popped up online a while back, Tech Oddity? Nick uploaded this to their Nick Animation side channel a few hours ago:

New deets about the third SpongeBob movie.

According to Paramount Animation president Mireilla Soria:

• It's going to be an origin story that takes SpongeBob back to his roots at the summer camp where he first met everybody (I'm curious about what this means for continuity with the show proper).
• As the name implies, it's going to be somewhat of an It's a Wonderful Plot.
• It's due for July 17, 2020.
• It's going to be entirely CGI (no 2D animated parts) unlike the last movie.

And fans are up in arms about that after she was quoted poorly as saying traditional animation is "too hard".

Rainbow Rangers premiers on Nick Jr. on November 5th.

I didn't know that Nick was doing a Rainbow Bright reboot under a different name.

It's closer to Captain Planet Power Rangers, really.

Given Genius Brands International's most recent big IP failed and their most popular one by far is licensed, they need this to be a hit.

Aaaaand Rainbow Rangers has debuted!

It's weird seeing Nick plug a show produced by two ex-Disney people.

Nick Jr. has a pretty interesting broadcast history—in the 80s it aired David the Gnome and Noozles.

Yeah i remember seeing those. Weird knowing the kind of shows they would air later.

Apparently Rainbow Rangers got shafted for Butterbean's Cafe, making the pre-emptive season 2 and spinoff plans a case of "don't count your chickens before they hatch" and Tempting Fate.

The latter show reminds me of the most recent Strawberry Shortcake incarnation, plus the first two incarnations' villains.

Well, it’s taken me almost year since it first aired, but, I’ve finally watched the Hey Arnold jungle movie. And while it did have its points that I really liked, like so many other tv shows and movies that I have seen, the parts that I didn’t like were very hard to ignore. That part of the plot about Arnold being shunned by everyone was really hard get through and there was not even a way of justifying either. So, I’m really not entirely sure about how I feel about this movie, all things considered.

It's a sad day in the Nickelodeon community.
