I really hope this show goes off the rails by the end of the season. Kill Bruce and have Victor Zsasz suffer chemical burns to the face and become the Joker! Or something, so that the show can do something with the city it's been setting up.
Speaking of the Joker, I have my own interesting theory for how he'll come about. And it involves Dr. Dulmacher.

Welp. I missed last night's episode.
Knife-wielding accountants and camp, I hear?
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).If you have a dark sense of humor, then this episode's for you (especially the ending scene).
Skimming these comments, I can't tell if Jerome was brought up again or not... I still can't believe they're letting that case drop. I mean, yeah, he's going to jail, but you'd think someone would question what was up with that kid.
Unless "dark sense of humor" was a nod at Jerome/Joker being in the episode...
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Jerome wasn't mentioned in the episode.
The dark sense of humor was because Penguin told the elderly couple that was guarding Loeb's daughter that he was going to give them a train ride for a vacation. He said he only had one ticket so the wife killed her husband. She asked Penguin "when the train was going to arrive?" Penguin said "there is no train, I needed you to take care of him because he only had one shell left."
I think that was what they were referring.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAh. Thank you. Sounds like Penguin's working on another killstreak.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I admit while this show frequently bugs me that was a legitimately good moment.
When Gordon left those two alone with the Penguin and a loaded shotgun, I figured they were dead. Then they appeared to get away, and I was surprised...right up until that ending scene. I was right; there was a just a delay.
Looking back, he kinda had to kill them.
They were a loose end that he couldn't leave hanging (they might tell Falcone what he did, and then he'd be a dead man).
One Strip! One Strip!Would it be fair to say that Penguin is developing into a Poisonous Friend for Gordon?
Trump delenda estHe's got the poisonous part covered, but I don't know about the friend.
I think he sees himself as a friend to Jim but Jim definitely doesn't reciprocate.
Trump delenda estHe seems to think he's a friend.
The part where Penguin killed that lady was pretty funny, I felt sorry for the old man, but Penguin laughing and smirking was hilarious. I also thought Harvey's advice to Jin was good, it seemed out of character for him to give Jim moral advice but it was a good scene
Bullock's character makes more sense given what we learned about him this last episode. I think Jim learning about that actually does put Bullock in a position to start giving moral advice.
Penguin is shaped like a... friend?
Also, you'd know what'd be a goddamn hilarious swerve for the camp?
Mod Gorilla Boss.
...
okay i admit CW's Flash has got me in a gorilla kinda mood
I don't think there's any gorillas among the Bat-Rogues. There's a crocodile though.

It's easy to have a soft spot for the man who almost unconditionally spares your life.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsI think he liked him from before. I still wonder how Cobblepot knew Gordon was too good a man to pull the trigger. I'm thinking at some point there will be a flashback or something where Gordon unknowingly helped Oswald and thats what convinced him...
Final Fantasy, Foreign Policy, and Bollywood. Helluva combo, that......that'd be an interesting tangent. Though, it's probably just due to Penguin being there when Gordon interrupted the backalley beatdown in the first episode.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).By the way, anybody else think that if Penguin's smart, the favour he request from Gordon should be to help him break Maroni's monopoly on booze? Because that's something Jim would be pretty interested in doing in the first place.
& When he's not being a Smug Snake Penguin is a pretty good judge of character so it could just be that.
