In an age of excessive Jokerwank it's nice to see Jerome get smacked around by another villain.

I had forgotten what a little shit Bruce was being. When is Alfred going to lock his ass in a crate and mail him to ninja school so he can become Batman. Seems like it's FINALLY being set up this coming season but can we get like a specific episode? :hmm

Ah, finally a reason to return to da' tropes.

While it's always intriguing to see how Ozzie gets back to the top (because what's Gotham anyway without Penguin being on top, somehow getting booted, and then slowly climbing back up again anyway?), it's Poison Ivy who seems most interesting of the new crop in that trailer

Yeah, this looks more like the Poison Ivy they wanted to do since season three before they held back on that for whatever reason.

The end of the trailer makes it look like the villain team-up between Jerome and Penguin will expand beyond just those two.

Just got caught up, and it looks like s4 is really set on getting this towards the Gotham we all find so entertaining

It was not a bad ep. I liked the cheesy 80's style commercial

Selena was so not into it.

I enjoy this incarnation of Ivy better than the others. Probably because she's the, uhh, Ivy-est of the bunch?

Glad to see that the "That is so Gotham" line from the trailers actually made a lot of sense in context.

Overall a decent episode, though there was some heavy contrivances made to get the entire cast to be there at the scene of the explosion at the start of the episodes.

"That is so Gotham" is quite possibly the greatest thing ever. It sums up this entire show so well.

I was disappointed that there was no Penguin in this episode.

He's showing up next week, at least.

Pretty fun episode. I'll admit I did not see who hired the Toymaker coming. New Ivy doesn't seem too bad so far, but I hope they finally settle on her.

Me too. The show's indecisiveness about Ivy has been really weird.

I think it's not so much indecisiveness as being very quick to throw out things which don't work on this show.

Barbara and Jim for example or Renee Montoya.

Kid Ivy just didn't have a role and Adult Woman Child Ivy was creepy rather than sexy.

Or Harvey Dent, where's he been?

Mind you, it's not a bad strategy.

Barbara as Harley Quinn's predecessor is more fun by far.

Ivy still has some childishness here and there (putting on a dress and sitting to eat ice cream instead of showering, telling Tabatha that she was rude), but yeah, it's pretty downplayed by now.

I think what they're doing now is what they wanted to do the first time they changed Ivy, but backed out at the last second and just made her Penguin's perky sidekick.

They probably also realized that she probably wasn't quite lethal enough to be on her own since the first upgrade was more just an increase in age and a knowledge of plants rather than what she has now.

Bruce: Jim. When I was under, I saw you. You had a mustache.
Jim: Well, clearly that's a very dangerous toxin.

Gordon, you really need to grow that mustache.

BTW, Ivy was searching for something called "Project M". I don't know about you, but "Project M" sounds like a Super Smash Bros. mod created by Team Salvato, the team behind Doki Doki Literature Club!!
