Gotham

These past few episodes have been really strong, particularly Penguin's merry band of freaks. It's weird, because I usually see Batman's villains as being too anti-social and having too much baggage to team up effectively, but I see them working on it.

Years of association with Batman will unhinge anyone. They can work together because they haven't met Bruce yet.

Gotham's renewed for another season!

Phew.

I'm not remotely surprised this is getting renewed. With the exceptions of Agent Carter, Constantine, and Blade - a spin off of a spin off with a lower budget, a niche character in a setting mostly disconnected from the greater DCU, and an even weaker continuation of a mostly dead film trilogy - what's the last comic book/superhero show that was cancelled?

Powerless just yesterday.

Though it was a workplace comedy set in the DC Universe. I liked it but NBC cancelled it they were the ones that cancelled Constantine as well.

Powerless got canceled? I didn't even get to check it out!

I was disappointed though not surprised that they canceled Constantine. The first and only season was not great, but had potential. I really enjoyed Constantine's cameo on Arrow, despite barely truly watching the show.

Well Gordon pointed out he was infected and she still blamed him son telling seemed to have changed nothing.

I like Morena Baccarin, but Lee is so annoying now.

Ugh, don't answer that. There's an evil Bruce clone running around and I'm afraid they're going to clone Barbara and have her teenage copy become Barbara Gordon.

I too wonder who will eventually be the mother of Batgirl. Let's face it, Jim doesn't have very good luck with the laydeez.

Considering the process of clones seems to have flaws I doubt that is going to be the daughter solution.

I do wonder what series of events will make him decide to name his daughter Barbara.

Well sometimes Barbara is his biological daughter but didn't know because Jim had an affair with his brother's wife.

That is how it was in some continuities in the comics. Barbara then moves in with Jim and his wife when her parents die in a car crash.

Still think this would be more fun if Ivy was still a kid.

Question: Was Essen white as the driven snow? Because, um... that's kind of awkward.

And then also depending on whether you really care or not. It looks like an oversight made on a cheap plastic toy. One that I didn't know existed until this moment. One that I seriously doubt anyone cares enough about to correct.

Yeah, I mean none of those look even close. Don't get me wrong, it's particularly shitty on her case due to potential whitewashing, but I feel it's sort of an extenuating circumstance when none of the figures look even remotely human to begin with.

Also, something that sort of struck me as Fridge Brilliance (or perhaps just Fridge Stupidity on my part for not noticing sooner), but the scene at Barbara's night club in the previous episode had the background music being performed by the in-house band. The track? Cover of "Love Like Blood", the most well-known song by the British post-punk band Killing Joke.
