Violence, heavy stylization, and significant yuri subtext. It's like they were making a show specifically for me
It's... Charmingly old-school in it's style. (although you can see it's to a large extent to save budget) still, not too bad.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntCheap but cheerful, with some fun twists and tweaks to a stereotypical formula and some unusually entertaining expressions for something so low-budget. Looking forward to hardass Marine-lady Isaac Newton, too.
What's precedent ever done for us?I loved how Oda laughs when Sio fires DAH GUN
Same as usual.... Wing it.This is prolly gonna be one of my favorite shows in recent months.
Why do you fight? Why do you exist?Nobunaga again? Is there a "Nobunaga Oda" trend or something in Japan?
Starts out like your typical anime. Ends with an awesome potential.
That's...the beauty of cliches. Makes you think it's the same formula, then it does something different, if only a little. No story's the same technically, so I'm just rambling.
Also, with her military know-how, Sio and Yukari can be good friends.
Japan really likes putting Nobunaga into their stories in general. He is pretty important to their history.
Its probably a coincidence anyway.
That said, I like the MC so far. Military Otaku!
I'm getting Symphogear vibes out of this. Looks fun. I hope they go balls to the wall with the reincarnations.
Ghandi being an apparent womanizer barrier specialist (or healing?) is fucking hilarious.
Yeah, I'd thought the same thing! It made me very much think of Symphogear, but moving away from Nanoha and more towards Kill la Kill. Superpower-ey-ish action shows do tend to fall on that kind of gradient, from typical magical girl fare to more shonen staples, the far end indeed being exemplified by something like Kill la Kill. This kinda is closer to that end of the spectrum, yes.
Why do you fight? Why do you exist?I was thinking "Less Music but more Fate Stay Night"
Dear god, apparently there will be someone with the soul of Babe fucking Ruth!

I wouldn't say lots... but then my yuridar is a high gain system so I have to be careful about false positives.
Well, our protagonist has... quite the smile on her. So does Jack, for that matter.
It's got a lot of potential and I'm fond of the first episode, so I'll definitely be sticking with it.
Eh, I'll see if I continue watching this. Just the introduction is kind of hard to judge.
Check out my fanfiction! It started out okay (I liked the choice in MC) but then it became awesome. DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKA

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI wouldn't say lots... but then my yuridar is a high gain system so I have to be careful about false positives.
Well, the fact that they gave her classmate the standard superhero-girlfriend introduction (beautiful, inexplicably friendly popular girl who our schlubby loser of a protagonist gains superpowers to rescue) is... unusually frank for anime.
What's precedent ever done for us?Unfortunately, according to chinese scans she gets shipteased with the Ripper dude.
Needless to say, I am dissapoint.
A serial killer is fine too.

@ Gyrasalune: Pretty Cure pretty muych defined modern action Magical Girl Warrior shows (Including Nanoha, Madoka Magica, and Kill La Kill, of course).
Doesn't surprise me.
I may check out both this and Nobunaga the Fool sometime, though. Since they are short, I will wait until both are done.

Watch SymphogearWhy not both? I think equality is very important.
I'm pretty certain Asao is sticking around, so I guess it's going bi
I can accept her being bi, especially if it'd lead to a love triangle between her, Asao, and Ripper-dude. There is still hope!
sooo...Team Asao vs Team Ripper?
It's...probably gonna happen.
Crunchyroll page.
The other Nobunaga show this season. First episode was great, despite the generic premise. Lots of Les Yay, violence, Badassery, and a protagonist that gives off a charming Slasher Smile. Good stuff all around. This has a lot of potential to be another solid Crazy Awesome, Rule of Cool-driven action show.
