I'm getting 404 errors for the comic, and trying to look at the base domain gets me this:

''Site Offline This website has been disabled for technical reasons. Please contact the site administrator for more information.''

Anyone know what's going on with the site?

As crickets chirp in the background...

This might partially explain it. The founder of Webcomics Nation passed away in early November. It wouldn't be the first time no one thought to renew the domain name, or even that the person who died never shared the site passwords. Something like that happened on the Crystal Hall site (some combination of that and general ennui is apparently the reason no new story has been posted on the main site in about a year). Further discussion on the Talk About Comics forums indicates that apparently Modern Tales and Graphics Smash domains expired briefly in November before being renewed.

I suppose it's a hazard of the internet, but it's a sad thing, particularly for any artists who missed any advance notice to move their archived comics over. I know I'm a huge fan of Everyday Heroes, and I know that Ed Gedeon struggles to keep up the comic while also keeping employed in the software industries (a tumultuous place these days), so I wonder if he managed to get things shifted over.

Ee... and Ed commented on it in the Skin Horse comment thread. Looks like a large amount of Shaenon Garrity's oeuvre was stored on WCN as well. And Joey apparently sold all three domains to someone else months ago, and there's been patterns of neglect.

This is sad.

Yeah, this is really no surprise at all. I used WCN to host the backup version of my own comic, and the tech side of things had been decaying for months.

On a side note, Everyday Heroes is available via its Facebook page.

And... it's back up. For now.

Looks like they're having trouble again...
