The Earth is at war - and it doesn't even realize it, yet. Every grain of sand, every snow flake, every drop of water or particle of air, every maggot that crawls in the mud... each is a world, home to the tiny, fragmented essence of a long gone world, long gone peoples. And those fragments are tired, of existing as nothing but the building blocks of a world that humanity doesn't want any more.

Alliances and pacts were formed, as strange, nigh immortal beings called 'Fragments' appear across the globe. Each is a fusion, an alliance, between a million, billion worlds of similar structures. Their personalities are chaotic, essentially formed by a 'democracy' on a scale incomprehensible to humans.

The Fragments move, destroying the world that they were once the foundations of. Humanity will fight, of course, but let them come. Let them bring their weapons and their machines, their strategists and treaties. We are the Fragments of this Dying World, and they shall hear us roar.

So, yes. That's the intro to the RP, still world-building and brainstorming. Essentially, you play as an amorpheous, nigh god-like being formed of... something. Be it snow, worms, dust, light, fire, leaves, plastic... whatever it is, you are the fusion of countless tiny worlds, seeking vengeance for the fickle beings known as humanity.

Like... imagine if the idea that 'every snowflake/lump of pollen/fragment of dust' is essentially its own tiny pocket dimension inhabited by tiny cities, such as in How The Grinch Stole Christmas or Horton Hears A Who, and they've finally got fed up of existing as the whims of the ageless titans that reign over the multiverse. AKA humanity, and so decide to go Beyond the Impossible and use said pocket dimensions as the building blocks for incomprehensibly massive war machines.

Definite interest here. Though I'm unsure how humans could be called masters of the multiverse.

So the Fragments, are they like The Worm That Walks, or do they look human and just start falling apart into piles of beetles and cottage cheese once you hit them?

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial

@Karrin: Bare in mind, the 'Fragments' are essentially built out of tiny or near microscopic particles of 'stuff', like snowflakes and grains of sand... which are themselves cities. Except the thing is, imagine for a moment how infinitesimally small the people on those cities are. And compare that to us, so massive that any sort of communication between a single human being and one of their cities is actually *impossible*, and you start to get the idea why they'd think that. We are the masters of *their* multiverse.

@KSPAM: Depends what they're made of, but they're basically either The Worm That Walks or Elemental Embodiment. They are engines of destruction, generally, rather than spies (though some, such as one made of invisible gasses could be a spy, I guess?!)

Essentially, the players would *spawn* in a random city, yet to be decided, and go about acting according to their own whims. Bare in mind, though, that not all of the Fragments will get along with each other - due not only to clashing cultures and personalities, but also due to the very things they're made of. That, and humanity is nothing if not resourceful.

Dang it. My own enthusiasm for the idea has somewhat faded... that said, others are welcome to set it up, if they wish.
