Hard to survive a crashing space-engine blasting off towards a planet, I'd think. It even exploded. Though the real question is why the hatch never re-opened. How'd something get stuck in a door that's meant to open on it's own?
Also, can we talk about how much of a bitch Yvette is? Did she just take the opportunity to screw her friends over at the first chance a la Handsome Jack, or was she in with Vasquez the whole time?

Episode 2 established that Janey Springs is taking over Scooter's business. Its entirely possible that she could take over Scooter's role in the third game.
There could be a BL 3 Quest to find Scooter's Rocket and its all dramatic and we find his hand still in the grate... Then he walks up while we're mourning him with a soda in one hand shouting "HEY GUYS! CHECK OUT MAH COOL ROBO HAND!"
The door thing was malfunctioning. Hitting the button fixes it (in addition to preparing the rocket for decoupling). Unfortunately, it's supposed to be closed, so if you're too slow you can get stuck.
Presumably the door is a maintenance hatch that automatically locks when all systems are in order. The button resets the system. Which means it also locks the door. These kinds of things are actually kind of common and not as contrived as you might think.
Also, OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BREATH! THIS GAME IS FUCKING HILARIOUS!
- Vasquez!Rhys:"Sup Ladies? What you been doing? Talking about boys?"
- Hyperion Guard:"Nope. Just talking about casual Misogyny and how it manifests in corporate executives."
- Vasquez!Rhys:"Uhh... Oh. Yeah... I was kidding..."
- Hyperion Guard:"And boys. Captain's Brother is finally marrying his boyfriend."
- Told the group about Handsome Jack; they got pretty upset. I suppose I should have apologized to Sasha, but I scared her with the face instead. They seem to be on good terms again.
- Stunned Yvette, but regretted it. Just a little, though.
- Did not trust Jack. It was tempting, though, I admit.
- I just hugged Scooter. I used his catch phrase for his satellite.
- I tried to stop the tour guide. They guy got himself killed anyway.
- I shot Butt Stallion. I thought it wasn't real. I thought Jack was kidding when he said that after it didn't move.
Other thoughts:
I've seen a few people say they believe Sasha betrayed the group. It just looks like she got caught to me.
"He said to hold tight!" Gortys is the best robot to ever exist.

Irrose did pretty much the exact same as me aside from me deciding to go for the Cowboy Bebop reference.
I AM SEVERAL EVEN MORE TIMES EXCITE FOR THE NEXT ONE SO BADLY AND SAD FOR SCOOTER'S DEMISE, I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE HIM IN THE EPISODE 4 IMAGE, WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
AND THANK GOD VAUGHN'S OK. Now here's one of the best parts of the episode◊.
And here's a fun fact about Troy Baker's abilities! (you'll have to click the spoiler warning at the top and scroll back down. It's said by puzzlebox, a Telltale Staff member)

Well, uh... I didn't think I'd be sad about Scooter of all people but here we are.
And holy shit, that Really was Troy Baker imitating Patrick Warburton when the voice thingy broke? Fucking hell, man.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."How do you think that recording went down? 'Okay Pat we're replacing you for Baker now so that he can do his best impression of you'.
And Sasha ratting out Fiona is actually a pretty valid possibility. Yvette didn't know Fiona existed, let alone where in the entirety of Helios she was. And the reveal of Sasha behind Yvette at the end wasn't a 'I feel bad that I got captured' moment, it looked more like a 'sorry I had to side against you buy reasons' moment.
Well, its possible they got the information out of her some other way. Threat of torture isn't... unusual or even remarkable for Hyperion.
Nah, it totally looked like a "Sorry sis, got caught" face. I mean, we don't know Yvette asked specifically for Fiona, just "Where are the other assholes infiltrating the station"
Also, man. I might need to rewind and change my ending... pissed off Jack is a whole lot scarier than pissed of Sasha and F Iona.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I love how the big action scene for this episode was quite possible the most epic finger gun fight in history.
Also memorable was Butt Stallion.
Oh God! Natural light!I doubt Rhys will end up as a villain. No matter your choice he is probably going to lose that power, get betrayed by Handsome Jack, or both. If anyone becomes the villain, it will be Jack. Again. I hope Tales is the end of Handsome Jack, but we'll see.
A Borderlands movie is being made by Lionsgate. Huh.

I am...okay with this?
#IceBearForPresidentBased on a recent edit on the character page, when does AI Jack say he killed Roland? The events of BL 2 seem to be completely blank for him.

Scooter's dead? How will I survive without everyone's favourite inbred redneck?

BIG O!
Both Life is Stange and Tales From the Borderlands concluding on the same day?
I think I'm going to need to clear my schedule.
Oh God! Natural light!Less than a week until we see our big conclusion. Any final bets as to our conclusion?
My money is on Fiona (and maybe Rhys) being set up as protagonists for the next main BL game.
I kinda hope not.
I don't want to have to play an actual Borderlands game to continue the story- I'd much rather Rhys and Fiona's story end here, or they only get minor cameos in the future.

#IceBearForPresident
At the beginning, when they're wondering over the Stranger's motivations, if you pick the "He's after a Vault" option, Fiona will say that he's just another idiot Vault Hunter, while Rhys will point out that these days, she's a Vault Hunter herself.
Did they really kill Scooter? We didn't actually see his body, and the rocket conspicuously headed towards Pandora rather than hurtling off into space, so maybe he survived? I was racking my brain to remember if he showed up in the framing device for the Pre-Sequel, but I don't think he did.
