Is she good for anything in particular, other than to have in your inventory for quests? 'Cause she's idling in my base after I redistributed her planes to my other carriers (nice of her to make sure they have a full deck of planes).
Check out my fanfiction! She's one of the only two CVs with a kai ni. I'd say she's pretty worth it.
I think her kai ni also has the highest firepower among carriers. The stock equips are really good too.
I think I did it with one SS. Goya I think. Though, honestly I wouldn't recommend it. The volume of good RNG that went into that run just hit me now. It requires you to first, get to the boss.
Make sure you're above red the whole time.
Finally, remain unscathed at the boss to qualify for a B-rank victory.
You're better off whaling in 2-5. That's where I got mine. It's fixed, and the boss drops lots of other pretty good ships.

I did naht.Hiryuu gets some of the best planes after her second remodel as well as good stats all around, and is pretty cost effective for a CV in general. Her last slot is also very low in plane count, which makes her great for carrying a Saiun, a special recon plane that prevents T-Cross disadvantage, but doesn't provide any damage or fighter power.
That's all stuff you don't really need to worry about until you start thinking about late game and event fleet composition. If you can I would recommend using her if you can, since if you stick with the game long enough you're going to want her, and she still performs well even before Kai Ni.
Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listWell, so far I mainly use Akagi, Kaga, and Shoukaku, and I don't really have the resources to use more carriers. Long-term she's definitely an option, though, and her strongest point is that I actually have her in my fleet. That's usually a benefit. I'll see how the situation changes once I finally get the third fleet. And maybe by then I'll have a straight shot to the fourth...
Check out my fanfiction!Personally, I didn't have any carriers apart from Akagi and Souryuu until HQ 60 or something.
I did naht.My fleet now has closer to sufficient amounts of fleets.
Next in priority, Mukyuu and the Hongou sisters.

Check out my fanfiction!World of Poi Beta.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm having a bit more luck on the drops. Recently got four very good torpedo users. Ooi, Shima, Goya, and while trying to get Goya, Poi Kai Ni. Also got Maya, Mukyuu and a few other ships. And that really gave me more room in my dorms, since I could use all those ships saved up for modernising Yuu. She's the only ship I've got aside from the other Yuu who's got max model, and as such, there's no reason to not modernise them as much as possible. Well, actually I still have a very full list. I could probably get rid of many of the destroyers that I'm not using and aren't necessary for quests. But I figure, if I've got the space, there's no harm in keeping them.
And you know, for all the grinding, it doesn't feel that grindy. And it's not like those energy-based games where you can only play a certain amount each day. Sure, you eventually run out if you play a lot, but you have a lot of influence in how you spend it.
Check out my fanfiction!
Indeed, which is why I wonder how people burn out on the game. You have total control of how you play it, especially since it doesn't even set final "goals" for you to accomplish.
That said, you're going to have to set goals for yourself if you want to participate in events.
Musashi Get! From my first battleship LSC attempt no less. Thank you Paul Allen!
Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listAt this point, there's not really much luck to run out of on my end. Just missing a few ships I actually want. Trophy DD drops make me ill. I don't actually want them...
I've yet to Bisuko LSC, as I seem to keep forgetting to put Z1 as flag every time. Granted it did lead to a Yamato the last time....
I did naht.Mu-Musashi, why? How? It was just 5 PVP sorties. Why is all my ammo gone? Okay not actually all gone, but you just used almost a a day's worth of natural resource growth. It was just exercises. How?

Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listYeah, Musashi and Yamato are resource black holes.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
That's nothing — my regular PVP team for the past few weeks are as follows: Yamato, Musashi, Bismarck, Taihou, Amagi (switched out for Yuubari if there is a sub), and my flagship of choice (in this case Maya). :> Imagine the resource consumption of that.
This is because they're all less than level 60.
I just got Yamato up to 65 and called it quits for active grinding.
I did naht. Finally managed to clear 2-4. Mostly used four lowish level battleships with two carriers. It kind of went like this:
- 3 attempts went to the southeastern dead end.
- 4 attempts went to the southwestern dead end.
- 2 attempts ended because of heavy damage/medium carrier damage in the first two nodes.
- 10 attempts went northwest.
- 0 attempts went to the northeastern route.
- 1 attempt went to the boss node. Not a hard battle.
After that it didn't take that long to pick up Haruna, the last of them.
Also decided to actually clear 1-5. Got a sub on the second boss kill. Two subs out of four needed for quests.
Tried the LSC because I had plenty (for me) resources. Got a heavy cruiser. And a bunch of levelling after that kind of cleared out my supplies. Time to take it a little slow for a while.
Long term goals now include a bunch of Kai-ing and Kai Ni-ing (mainly Maya, Fubuki, Kongous, a few other DDs, and some other ships), the above mentioned subs, Bismarck, and finishing more stages. Not exactly short of things to do, although few immediate goals (outside the stages).
Check out my fanfiction!
... That's kind of a lousy LSC result, unless said heavy cruiser happened to be in the Mogami class (Mikuma etc.)
It was actually Mikuma. From what I understand, she's kind of rare.
Tried a sub recipe just now for the dailies, got Yukikaze. From what I understand, she's kind of rarer.
Check out my fanfiction!
Pretty much. If you're in world 2 anyway, Mogami is somewhat common, so you've got your two CA Vs right there.
Yukikaze is obviously a good surprise regardless, though I love subs due to the low maintenance they have, plus convenience in clearing out those Daily and Weekly quests.
I've already got Tone and Chikuma aside from Mogami, although they do take a while to get to CAVs. And blueprints. So I didn't really consider Mikuma a total bust. It's just kinda funny that my first attempt at the LSC made such a light class.
By the way, speaking of blueprints, do you just click the button on the medal description, and then confirm what you want to exchange it for? Just kind of don't want to mess that up, since the furniture boxes convert immediately when you click that.
Check out my fanfiction!
Yep, the medal to blueprint conversion gives you a warning — you should know that you're selecting the blueprints via the image of sheafs of paper. Also remember that 4 medals = 1 blueprint.
Thanks.
I think Kako is my Naka. Four times in a row now, and that's just for the recent batch of constructions. Naka, on the other hand, has shown up twice in the factory total. And one of those was the very first construction I finished. Well, it's not that bad. At least Kako is decent for modernisations.

Check out my fanfiction!
Finally all those times compass fairies sent me to the boss node instead of transport nodes in 2-3 have been compensated
Just take your time. RNG seems to like trolling in that map. I just did one run per day until compass fairies sent me to the boss
Speaking of which, Jigaboo's success is tempting me to try clearing 2-4 with my sub fleet... and hopefully get a whale in the process
