Yeah I was looking at that and going the laws are sure different in the States because it's 19 here, and I think it generally coincides with legal adulthood, so it being 21 is rather odd.
HOLY SHIT. This is off-topic from anything, but my four-levels-up boss, an army Lieutenant Colonel second only to the Personnel Director, is walking around the office in a Santa hat... with Lieutenant Colonel rank on it. I don't know exactly why that is so hilariously awesome, but it is.

Well, I don't know if that's too off-topic, but do you guys have any holiday related going-ons with your adult lives and stuff?
Like, I've finished finals and my last driving lessons with a school today. What I'm going to be focusing on is learning about searching for jobs, improving my Japanese beyond just reading basic stuff, learning more about my career interests, and taking a break from people.
I'm super excited for Christmas. I'm introducing my boyfriend to my family at our Christmas Eve dinner on Wednesday. They've heard about him but no one has met him yet.
And it's not precisely "Christmas" related, but I bought myself a copy of Quarantine, a book I've been wanting to read for over a year and just never got around to snagging a copy. So I'm excited for that to arrive on Friday as well.

Um. I'm 24, I've been using bank accounts and other services since I was 19, and I have always cashed my own checks. Using my phone camera, no less. All over the country including Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Arizona, Oregon, and more, with a bank based out of Texas.
