This can be considered a social experiment of sorts. With the Troper Shipping and Dating Service thread derailing spectacularly and resulting in tremendous controversy and drama, it may well be best to start afresh, with a renewed sense of community and a stronger emphasis on handling disagreement in a courteous and responsible manner.

I said it because I noticed this thread first and you made me think it's going to be locked.

All water under the bridge. Whether the thread is eventually going to be locked or not is a binary matter: either it will, or it will not. Such is Boolean logic.

Contingency A: The thread will be locked. Conveniently, the Coven already exists.

Contingency B: The thread will not be locked. The Coven will die of neglect, bothering nobody in particular.

We can't say for certain whether an attack is imminent or not, but castling is a sound move either way. If an attack comes, we'll be safer. If not, our rook will be more optimally placed for aggressive action.

And I say this as somebody whose usual practice is to castle very late in the game, by conventional standards. XD

The Shipping thread has become off-topic, as of late. As that thread no longer focuses on shipping, I think that I shall bump this coven, so that we may ship as we please. Because I am lonely and sad, I am curious as to whom you would find to be a worthy ship for me.
