It's a Naginata, right? Like, it's bigger than a Katana?
Nopes, a short sword. A naginata had a blade more like a katana but a spear handle

Not saying it's a katana. Dunno where you got that idea, it's just the sort of thing she'd ask about. Not the sort of thing you'd want to hit anyone with, either, given that its salient ability is to mess with the wind.
... it's also pretty damn easy to work out where the Kusanagi is if it does exist.
EDIT: A naginata is basically a Japanese halberd. XD

Avatar SourceSo it's said, but the original sword was lost in the Seto Sea during the Genpei War.
Anyway, more magical swords exist than the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, up to and including anything and everything daltar makes up out of whole cloth if she decides to.
It's been fun.I would, however, like to point out that Vlad's longsword is just well-maintained and strong, not magical. In fact, if he actually swung with all the strength available to him he'd probably break it. of course, then he could combine the CHEAP PIECE OF SHIT with an A/C Unit and a photo of SNOOP DOG.
... I didn't say it was the most magical, either. Where are you getting that impression from? :|
Avatar SourceI didn't say you did. I'm just pointing out that we have indeed, as requested, named several more magic swords that are likely to exist.
It's been fun.And they are very historical, especially since Charlemagne was real as fuck.
The Naginata was considered a womans weapon until the fighting samurai realized how great it was at beheading the katana-wielding enemy from a distance, it was often made by actually just sticking a left-over katana or wakasashi blade on a long stick, dedicated blades existed by they were more rare as "why not use what you already got?"
That said it was not really a halbeard as that was a specefic type of weapon, it was a glaive. But now I'm nitpicking.
Indeed. *
Though it's a stretch to turn one into several. I brought Durendal up.

Avatar SourceShould've put this up on Wednesday, but - I'm out of town for a little while and won't be back until prolly late on Sunday.
If we're going to bring in Excaliber, let's remember-It's in a lake. Not a rock.
Good to be back... It's Excalibur, not Excaliber. It's a magic sword, not a gun. Unless of course you're referencing SAO in which case prepare to be mocked intensely.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialActually, Excalibur is in the possession of the Lady of the Lake, so it's even harder to get at.
Avatar SourceI'd totally be on board for there to be a modern Excaliber that was some sort of super-advanced gun. It'd be a pretty cool plot—DALTAR PUT THAT IN
And, naturally, the counter to Colin's proverb: fools rush in where angels fear to tread.
Avatar SourceWill get a post up later today, assuming I'm not caught up in a game or something.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank Hill... Monroe entered Kasumi's place? Oops.
Avatar SourceSo i've been informed via Skype Johnny has been accepted. Is there anyone or anywhere that needs someone to interact with or in? I can't make any guarantees but did want to know for reference.
Any magical character who tends to keep their ear to the ground can feel free to have vaguely heard of his junkyard as well.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank HillI have an idea, how about Excalibur is there but it's rusted and eroded away to near uselessness? And the sword in the stone, is quite literally a sword shaped rock that Merlin made magic.
Good to be backNo Excalibur! At least not at the moment. We're in the States not England!
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Maybe Exclaibur was an illegal immigrant...?
Though may I recommend bringing in a Blood Gun, one of the rifles used in the Mc Coy feud?
Good to be backWe should avoid making everything magical, I think. Sometimes a bunch of backwoods hicks killing each other is just that.
It's been fun.Ah, Troy, Lihtu's 'peacemaker' is a club with salt crystal and iron nails stuck into one end. She doesn't own a gun.
It's been fun.
Pretty much the same as Excaliburs really, noone seem to get toghter and deicde once and forever what it's powers was, La Morte d'Arthur which most contemporary stories get their inspiration form it blinded everyone that looked when it was drawn.
Also, Kusanagi no Tsurugi would be something more like this◊, an actual tsurugi which was a typical sword more in the lines of what existed in China and Korea.
