It's a Wonderful-er Life.
In all seriousness, though, this is terrible.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again. Why not just do a remake? Or just call it a remake?
Karolyn Grimes, who played George Bailey’s daughter “Zuzu” in the original, will return for the “Wonderful Life” sequel as an angel who shows Bailey’s unlikeable grandson (also named George Bailey) how much better off the world would have been had he never been born.
I had tickets for the premiere of Citizen Kane 2: Revenge of Rosebud, but this sounds better so I'm selling those tickets.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"-*facepalm*

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseShowing a guy the world would be better if he hadn't existed.
Yeah. This has 'heartwarming and humane' written all over it.
I'm guessing they're going for a Christmas Carol-type "because of the way you are, people around you have and will suffer" type thing. There's still no reason for this to be a sequel beyond cashing in, though.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Maybe it's a typo on their part? Who knows.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here...,,,,they made a direct to DVD sequel to A Christmas Story?
Heh. I got that one beat. A little known comedy show in Scotland, City Lights, starring Gerard Kelly, had an episode with exactly the same sort of plot over twenty years ago. That particular episode had Billy Connolly as a guardian angel who came to the same conclusion as the one of this OP.
Welp, this, along with yet another Star Wars trilogy, along with a movie adaptation of the second chapter of genesis, proves that the Hollywood model is broken if they're not investing in anything original anymore
My Box Office Bomb senses are tingling.
They could instead remake Its a Wonderful Life as a sci-fi action movie with George Bailey as an anti-hero future soldier protecting the city of Bedford Falls from the the corrupt businessman/scientist M.R. Potter and having to escape the hellish alternate universe (where he was never born) the latter sends him to. All with the help of his funny inventor sidekick Clarence who's attempting to create the perfect set of mechanical wings.
And as stupid as that would be, it would still be better than this sequel.
That sounds awesome. Would watch. Not kidding.
i agree. i would watch that movie.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.One of the villains ought to be a Hollywood executive who dies a slow, horrible, painful death. You know, just like what should happen to whoever thought this up.
Looking for some stories?I bet this movie is going to be like Tron Legacy. It is a sequel several decades later. It is going to get a lot of people in the theater. It is going to look good, but not deliver on anything it promised.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI would sooner see a sequel to Scarface than this. With Zombie!Al Pacino.
They could just adapt the videogame's plot.
Yeah, that would be good. But Al is too old. Hmm. Clone him?
Gives a whole new meaning to "Say hello to my little friend." doesn't it?
