It's weird how Tammy is looking more like a normal person now instead of an outsider girl that they dressed up so people wouldn't notice her.
Though she'll probably do another fish-out-of-water bit sooner or later.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Um... Wow. 0_0
So, did the Academists chain that dragon-spirit(?) there? Is it capable of recovery (being a spirit), or only just clinging on? Is it now undead? Is that its natural form? 0_0
My Games & WritingWhat I want to know is who (or what) it is that keeps trying to talk to Street.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I had thought that it was the chained dragon, but now that you mention it, there may be one or more other spirits attempting to talk to her; at the least it does seem to be in the style of their speech bubbles.
I'd really like to know what it is that whoever-it-is is trying to say in the big speech bubble...
[edit] I just noticed the hover-text: Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, and the fact that the dragon appears to have been burned.
[edit 2] I can make out bits of the text in that big speech bubble, but with Street's head in the way it's difficult for me to figure out the fullness of what's being said. Of most note to me from what I've made out: "... a token ..."; "... an offer ..." "... do you have ..."—perhaps continued "dreams or wishes? I can fulfil ..."
It looks as though something is attempting to make a deal with her.

My Games & WritingI just started reading this. It seems kinda interesting.
For reference, the alt text started in page 31 (last page of chapter one) and the first annotation. It then disappeared during the fable to reappear when chapter 2 started.
(also woo proper updates next week)
I just can't stop thinking of the ways in which a Tammy-Harris reunion could happen in the worst possible moment now.
"She has eaten the pancake. She will never come back to us now." ~The Spirits probably.
I am still wondering what motivates harris now.
Maybe he's just living the life of a professor doing professorly things

Oh really when?Wait ... who is Imogen's father again? Wasn't he that absolute monster that opposed his own wife? (Too many people, too little time). If so, I can totally understand why she doesn't want to see him.
In today's page, Street encourages absenteeism, Harris is looking the wrong way, and that cat in the last panel doesn't look suspicious at all...
(If I'm correct about that cat, I find it interesting to think that the spirits might be keeping an eye on one or more of Street, Imogen and Harris.)

My Games & WritingWoof. That's some dramatic irony there.
A few posts above, Gowan asks who Imogen's father is, a question to which this page provides a partial answer. It looks like he's kinda important.
(And Imogen seems somewhat scared that if she's doesn't at least keep up appearances for him she might end up like Deidre... that's... a disturbing thought.
... Even if I'm not entirely certain of what all those seals do to Deidre, aside, presumably, from cut off her Orphic powers.)
My Games & WritingSo she was the leader. Darn. What an example.
I am afraid the comic confused me again. Harris is one of the bad guys, isn't he? He is, I think, the one who kidnapped Tamaura?
So I do hope that girl in the newest sequel isn't Tamaura. Oo
She can't be. Her hair is too short, comparatively.
I'm not sure that Harris is one of the bad guys.
I get the impression that Harris isn't as prejudiced against Orphics as some others in his culture, and that overall he's a fairly compassionate fellow—just look at his interactions with Imogen, for example.
He did kidnap Tamaura, true, but I also think that he genuinely believed that he was saving her by doing so.
On another note, thanks to this thread activity, I just discovered that the RSS feed for the comic had apparently changed at some point, and that I've been missing a fair few pages!
Speaking of which: Wait, hold on—those fellows in the third row look awfully familiar... XD

My Games & WritingA part of me wonders if those Spirits were just jipping Tammy and they honestly couldn't care less about her situation...
If that's true, then God, they're jerks.
He doesn't have to mean to harm someone if he does harm people because he believes in the righteousness of the academics. And if he were to find out where Tammy is now ... well ... But maybe the sadness of this kid (who is NOT Tammy ) will make him reconsider his ideas. Hopefully.
Yeah, they moved to Hiveworks.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)
She looks like a poor street urchin now.
Then again, she probably is, at this point.
