Does Not Illustrate: I Shall Taunt You

As much as I love Team Fortress 2, Soldier in his taunt position does not exemplify it.

Definitely could use an in-game shot of some sort of taunt instead of that.

The current image barel look any different from The Computer Shall Taunt You. Pull.

I'm not sure if this◊ is an improvement or not, but it at least looks like more of a taunt than the current.

Crop out the card, leave just the picture, and give it the caption:

Goblin "diplomacy"

and I'd be behind it 100%

I think the implication is sufficient, especially coupled with nitro's caption suggestion.

Yeah, they're obviously taunting somebody, even if that somebody isn't explicitly shown.

Better improvement. Them goblins are clearly just not posing for a picture. If they are, they're taunting the photographer.

Incidentally, I've been looking for an in-game screenshot of a TF 2 character taunting the player in my screen folder and GIS, but not too many good ones. Might have to stage one.

I'm inclined to agree with @10. Doesn't Sakura of Street Fighter have a taunt where she does the tongue sticking out thing? I have a vague memory of this, but can't figure out how to look it up. :P

My problem with the goblin image is that it's suffering from the same thing as the Soldier pic. Though I guess the goblin is more obvious that it's taunting something than Soldier.

This isn't a gamer trope (think The Computer Shall Taunt You is that trope) so we shouldn't be limiting ourselves to gaming examples.

It is a shout-out to Monty Python, incidentally. They're standing on the same battlements as the French guy.

That's what makes it even better. An MTG-themed variant on the "Your mother was a hamster" line would really lay it on, but I dunno how well that would come off.

Alright, finally got around to that staging I mentioned earlier. In-game shots of the Soldier taunting the player (in this case, the player being me) just after killing them four times in a row without being killed once in return - adding insult to injury, basically.

Captions could go something like "Dominated, hippie, get a job!" or "This is my world. You are not welcome in my world!"

Two crops. One's the 640x480 image (this◊, incidentally) shrunk to 350x263, the other's me cropping a bit off the left to 560x480 before shrinking it to 350x300.
