Similar arguments can be made about all of the words. "police" is wrong because not all examples are of police. The CSI teams are mostly forensic analysts. "detective" is inappropriate for the same reason as "Inspector". "senior" is wrong because the group leader isn't always the oldest.
shrug: we've got some good names. The next two highest should probably become redirects.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI went through and cleared up the last remaining wicks to The Inspector, although most of them were ZCE's or potholes from non-police detective characters that were simply dropped.

And speaking of ZCE's, there seems to be plenty in the page itself, though that's likely for another thread.
The move was noted in the FAQ thread, and will be noted in Renamed Tropes in just a moment.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportSo if that's everything done should this be locked and moved to the morgue?
Ahem, that second placed option? Would it make a good redirect?

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Regarding the rank/seniority distinction and the name "Senior Detective": it would have been a good name if it hadn't been for two cases that could cause confusion: 1) The case where the "inspector" is actually less senior than his/her subordinates, and because of that a bit unsure in his or her position. 2) The case where there is an older detective with lots of experience who for some reason has not been promoted.
