Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the most extraordinary event of the Beyblading calendar! The Beyblader Island!

The illustrious B.B.C (Beyblade Battle Commission) have gathered bladers of all calibers, of all ages and nationalities, to compete to gather studs for the special launchers, made especially for the competition. The first four to gather 10 from their fellow competitors, and insert them into the monolith (depicting Dragoon, an ancient bit-beast) will be entered into the finals, and compete for the glory of fighting our champion!

In short, the setting for this roleplay is very much like the Duelist Kingdom arc from Yu-Gi-Oh!, but with Beyblades. This roleplay is heavily based off of the original series of Beyblade (so, the plastic generation), although battles, until the finals, at least, take place without stadiums.

The island displays a very wide variety of climates: Indeed, there's everything from a snowy mountain, to a dry, dusty plain. The area may affect your battling, so there's something to keep in mind. In he center of the island is a massive monolith: You can see it from most areas of the island, and has four sides, each depicting Dragoon, albeit with a few small variations between each image. At the bottom of each side, there are ten slots for your studs: When a blader obtains ten, they should rush to the center of the island and insert them into the monolith.

The tournament continues until there are four finalists, and there are no settlements on the island (well, there's some ruins, but that's really about it) so you are expected to bring some items necessary for survival (although small ration packs will be distributed at the start of the tournament.)

In short, once you're on the island, you're on your own.

Winning studs is very simple - Once you've found yourself an opponent, simply bet any amount of them (although it is polite to match your opponent's wager, it isn't essential). Once a winner has been decided, they take all the studs put up.

Once you have no studs, you will be collected by our staff (who have been trained in the art of child-grabbing), and deported.

The battle system is very simple - For each action you want to make during your post (up to a maximum of three), such as attacking, dodging, or whatever fancy stuff you feel like, message the GM with either Rock, Paper or Scissors (one for each action). When the GM receives both player's messages, they'll reply with the results, and the roleplay should continue accordingly.

  • Beyblade:
    • Name:
    • Bit-Beast: (If any)
    • Type: (Balance, Attack, or Defence. Attack Type Beyblades tend to focus on dealing as much damage as possible, as quickly as possible. Defence type Beyblades tend to focus on reflecting attacks long enough to win, and Balance types are often between the two, dealing reasonable damage, and defending from attacks with a fair amount of effectiveness.)
    • Spin Direction : (Left or Right. Generally, most Beyblades spin right.)
    • Hit-Points: 100 (This represents your Beyblade's ability to keep spinning. Attack types (that are not heavy) have it decrease by 10 per post, Balance types have it decrease 5 per post, and Defence types (as well as heavy attackers) have it decrease by 15 per post. For every two battles you win, you may increase this value by 20.)
    • Attack Ring: (The top part of a Beyblade - This is the part that will generally make contact with other Beyblades, and is often styled after the Bit-Beast.)
      • Gimmicks: (Despite the fact there are three Gimmick slots, you may only have a maximum of two.)
      • Attack Style: (Smash Attack or Upper Attack. Smash is merely striking an opponent with your Beyblade, whilst Upper is the AR on the Beyblade getting under the opposing beyblade and lifting it, usually with ramps on the AR and such.)
      • Attack Techniques: (Maximum of three. These techniques can range from quite simple, to quite complex, and do not technically need to be attacks, depending on the Beyblade type. They should list their name, damage dealt (in multiples of 5) other effects, and a cooldown period.)
    • Weight Disk: (This part is sandwiched between the attack ring and the base, and is what gives a Beyblade it's weight. Generally, the heavier the blade, the better it functions for defence (and technically, for attack, too), although it does tend to get greatly reduced stamina)
      • Gimmicks:
    • Blade Base: (The bottom of a Beyblade, this part makes contact with the stadium, and determines its movement patterns)
      • Gimmicks:
    • Misc. Parts: (Things like sub-attack rings and such should go here.)
    • Special Ability: (Only if you have a Bit-Beast. These are similar to gimmicks, but rely more on the Bit-Beast's ability to affect its surroundings when released, than anything else. For example, creating a large wave in a stadium featuring water would be a viable special ability. Bit-Beasts and special abilities may only be used after your character has acquired three wins, and six battles overall.)
    • Blade History: (How did your character come across their blade? Did they find it? Build it? Buy it?)
