Haaahahahahaha!
The Lost Vikings, that is hilarious.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesNot quite sure what you're saying exactly.
But ideally (strictly speaking, companies have thrown around the labels enough to pretty much make them kinda arbitrary), a beta is a mostly complete version of the game where lots of new stuff won't be added or majorly changed - it is now time for developers to crunch down in response to lots of testing to polish up the game and make it as perfect as possible.
A closed version is just generally less done than a open version which is why they make it less available to the public, though for multiplayer games I suppose open versions would require a stress test for their servers and so they'd hold off on releasing an open version for that reason.

Having just got an invite and never really played MOB As. Is there any way to bind attack move to a mouse button without having to press the button then left clicking?
Right clicking a target engages your character to auto attack whatever you right clicked automatically
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesI meant attack location, the A button + left click on the ground. Anyway to wrap that all into a single mouse button.

(I am not in the testing) If you can't easily see a way to change the keybinding for attack-moving into a mouse button for whatever reason, I'd doubt it.
Try looking through the options REALLY HARD, I'd suggest?

I'm already wondering if Overwatch characters might show up in this. Going from the site they seem to be very MOBA-like already. I guess it comes down to whether the new kids are allowed to play with the old classics.
EDIT:
Oh wow, they confirmed at a Q&A that Overwatch is in. Woot.
MEGA-EDIT:
Trailer, and check out the footage at the about a minute and a half in, the whole cast scene before the beta announcement. I see the Butcher, Rexxar, Sylvanas, and I think Leoric in the crowd.

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I just wanna knwo when John Blackthorne and the Rock N Roll Racers join the fray.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWell, now I'm in the alpha. Guess I'll download it tonight and see what's up.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Welcome to the alpha. I hope you were born an elite master of the game, or this is going to be rough.
Some pointers:
- Objectives matter, so do merc camps. Lane early in the game, protect/push the lane when needed, go lane if nothing else is going on, But watch your team and capture objectives with them.
- Being on the defensive is bad. Towers have limited ammo, defense is a war of attrition you aren't going to win.
- Nova and Zeratul automatically stealth when not attacking/being hit. If they're in the game, watch for a rippling effect around in the terrain around you.
- Don't Zerg Rush watch towers right when the game starts. I'm seeing less of it, but people assault that tower like capturing it and killing the first-level enemy team will lock in a win. It won't. You're better off laning, especially if you can start pushing a tower and forcing that attrition, than killing enemy heroes for a tiny XP gain and a short window of opportunity while they're dead.
- Comebacks can happen. Most of my games are hopeless shit, once you're in the utter moron MMR tier you'll never get out. But comebacks still happen at high level, because the wait to resurrect is long and the heroes can smash through minions and defenses when unopposed. Don't give up when behind—there's always a tiny, mockingly-cruel sliver of hope—and don't get cocky when you're winning. Mistakes will be punished in the late game.

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Well, I guess the good news is that I know someone in the game (not counting you guys) who can help me out if I need it. (My former guild leader from when I played World of Warcraft is apparently in the alpha as well.)
That said, looking at this week's rotation of free heroes, I'm probably going to give Muradin a spin. Thoughts?
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Closed beta starts today, and have some patch notes.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Well that is some new armor Thrall... I don't really like it since his old one was such a character plot point and had a history to it.

I was a little worried because the beta preview video seemingly showed Abathur in lane slashing at enemies. I think that's his new ultimate—his abilities look adjusted not completely rebuilt. I think he's a wonderfully unique character with his "commander" tool kit, I didn't want to see him as an assassin because he was too weird from the established MOBA norm.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I think I'm in Beta now. BOO-YAH!
It appears to be letting me install the game at the very least. That seems like a pretty solid indicator.
Despite the fact that it's moved from Alpha to Beta, it seems to still be totally unplayable on my computer.
'twas laggy as fuck. Rather hard to play and enjoy.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesI get a framerate of 1, for whatever reason. Probably some sort of hardware incompatibility. I guess that's exactly what they need to test for, but it doesn't make the game any funner to play on my end.
I had some slow loading at times, but for the most part it runs fine for me once I actually get into the game, and I'm running on a laptop that's 4 or 5 years old now.
Yeah, I don't think the hardware requirements are high or anything, more that there's some specific problem. My brother's new top-of-the-line computer runs into the same problem.
Yeah, Blizzard has never been one to push system requirements, but it's hard to account for everyone's specific system specs.
Still playing Li Li. Her revamp wasn't as extensive as I feared, so her play style is mostly intact. Cloud Serpent has some great talents now...but untalented it still seems utterly pointless.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Goddamit, I hate random disconnections. I DC while it's playing the animation for the enemy nexus blowing up and I don't get any credit for one of the best matches I've had.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984After playing for more than a week, I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. It's definitely everything I hoped it would be, and aside from Poros and their occasional featured game mode, I'm going to be hard pressed to think of a reason to go back to League of Legends.
I also love what they've done with the Mercenary Camps, AKA the Blizzard jungles. Contrast to where in League I hated the jungle, I now find myself actually going to them on a regular basis because they actually give me a good reason to that makes sense.
I like Falstad. His Z thing is unique enough and he hits harder than I thought.
I expected Thrall to be OP upon release because...you know...Thrall. But I am hoping that now that I bought Tyrande I can get some good practice with her, as she was my fave Hero so far.

Woot I got an alpha invite! Not really sure what it was from but it just popped up in my list of games in the battle.net launcher.
