Heroes of the Storm - Blizzard MOBA

Sonya and Zarya are likely to be moved to Bruisers if that becomes a thing.

Specialist sounds fine for Zarya, but i expect that almost every OW Warrior except Reinhardt are going to be Bruisers.

TIL that Kerrigan with the Ravage talents on level 1 (heal on kill) and level 4 (refund mana on kill) can pretty much eat Nazeebo's zombie ring for a huge free heal. He ringed me in a teamfight when I was at about 10% hp, and I ended up coming out of it with more health than I had before, even after accounting for the two guys attacking me.

Not all that impressed by the UI changes; the new top bar is too small to see with a quick glance. There is such a thing as having too minimalistic an interface, and I think given the nature of MOBAs, they crossed that line.

I tend to agree. This new one makes it much more difficult to tell at a glance how long until someone revives, or even whether anyone's dead in the first place.

Double posting because I think this deserves it.

The year was 2017. The place, Infernal Shrines. We were down a level and had only one keep remaining, while they had all of theirs. We had not captured an Immortal all game, save for one that did no damage before falling.

Then we ambushed them at a merc camp, killing four of them just before another shrine came up. We won that shrine handily, then pushed with the immortal, through both forts in that lane, wiping them again in the process.

We won before they revived.

The "For Azeroth!" event is making a brief one week return, because Blizzard made an oopsie.

Patch today. Cho'gall, Murky, Probius, Leoric, and Tychus buffs, Ragnaros, Arthas, and Tassadar nerfs, and a little of both for Varian. Also, a fix for the Zarya game crash bug.

It's now abuzz that we'll be getting some sort of Heroes of the Storm 2.0, with massive changes, including a LOOT system a la Overwatch. And our new hero is the D2 Amazon.

... Sounds like an early April Fools hoax.

Holy shit, so the novazon skin change had something to do with it.

Her name is Cassia btw and she is based on the Javazon.

I'm not quite sure. You may want to check her skill list. Does it sound RIDICULOUS or not?

The Amazon looks legit to me. I saw something about a premium currency though, which I really hope is a hoax.

I do hope there isn't going to be a premium currency. Seriously, I like just paying cash for stuff, even if the prices could be cheaper.

I bought the Magical Girl skin for Jinx in Lo L. I had points from my previous purchase on the account but not enough for the skin, so $20 later I have the skin and more points that I may or may not use. Rather than just paying the $15 or whatever for a really deluxe skin.

Well, I'm a Mantheon player, so I guess I'd know how Cassia would work, mostly. Just have to replace the Mandrop with other ults.

Also according to this, we'll get more new hero announcements at April 17 and May 4. And a new cinematic!

I noticed that Zarya is front and center after he talks about maps from different universes, when he says "we've got even more of that in the works." A clue?

...Aaaand premium currency confirmed. God damnit.

Well, Overwatch is turning 1 year old in may, so i guess HOTS is going to celebrate it by adding 2 heroes from OW as part of an event.

They also said back in a Q & A that they where special plans for OW coming soon. And since a battleground is coming up, i expect it to be Overwatch themed.

Oh wonderful, it's getting the Overwatch loot crates so that Blizzard can milk more money. And a dozen new currencies to grind and confuse you until you just give Blizzard money now.

Yeah, to be honest I'm not a big fan of a lot of this. I choose to believe this is Activision's fault, as I have been a Blizzard fanboy all my life.

I hope he repeats that "I need healing!" while his health is low repeatedly.

Don't give them ideas.

It's a bummer they are going for Genji. I still think he is a cool addition, but seeing that the last tank we had was Varian, i expected D.Va instead.

Plus, another assassin after we just got one revealed today isn't good. Yeah, no WC assassin i know but i want more healers dammit.

You know the ability to get new voice lines in loot boxes or with shards? Those aren't actually new voice lines - they are actually taking existing lines that are already attached to heroes away from them. I've played certain heroes enough to recognize those lines for "sale"....yeah, no, I'm not gonna keep playing this game if they pull that stunt on the live servers.
