I would be quite happy listening to Mary Elizabeth Mc Glynn speak for all eternity
Out of curiosity, anyone know how to make a character pull off their dance animation in-game? What the command for that is or the like?
"/dance" in the chat window.
Just gave Kael'thas the Store Trial. Was fun, but as an assassin he is pretty Squishy. Still, with properly specced living bomb I see him rip apart entire formations of minions with ease.
Aw the joys of Fire Mage's

"You can reply to this Message!"Anyone with familiarity with the Lost Vikings know if there's supposed to be hotkeys to swap between them or a way to set up hotkeys to swap between them or if it's only possible to swap control manually?
The number keys: 1 for Olaf, 2 for Baelog, 3 for Erik, 4 for all three. If you want to control two at a time, you have to do that manually with the mouse (a click and drag will create a box, allowing you to select any Vikings inside the box).

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I don't seem to have the hotkeys working for me, though maybe I just need to give them another try and see if I'm just doing it wrong.
And it's just now they released an Asian Server. LONG after I did my American server!
I don't think I'll be going to migrate to Asian server... (AKA: Restarting my whole journey)
EDIT: Turns out, Asian Server is for East Asia, such as China, Taiwan, Korea. SE Asia players just needs to stick to US Server.

"Nuclear Launch Detected" - I can't tell if their use of that line at that moment was meant to be a joke or not.

Did the game came out today? I'm living in Australia.
BTW I asked this question for a friend. I'm not really into PC gaming. :P
Officially, it comes out tomorrow.
Looks like she's been taking shield-throwing lessons from Captain America.
So, I decided to get into this game.
So far, I've bought Raynor, because I felt like I was doing good enough with him to justify buying him. Anyone have any tips with him, besides "keep using Inspire a lot"?
General MOBA tips would also be appreciated. So far I've used him mostly to be in lanes, soak up XP, go to objectives when they happen and push forts when the time is right. But I feel like it might not be quite enough.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Thing is, Hots operates kind of on a different wavelength than other MOB As. For one, it's far more team oriented - the idea of a player being a 'carry' is completely alien to the way it works. Even more that other Team Brawlers, in Heroes you win as a team or loose as a team.
Also, don't get obsessed with them, but don't discount the power of minions, either. Winions are rare, but they're a genuine thing for a reason.

Raynor is Simple, yet Awesome incarnate.
I always play him fully on autoatacks with Raiders as ult and berserk. There is little to say on how to play him:
keep your distance,
focus squishies (once you have giant killer just focus that what is the closest to you)
push back melees that come to close (if you feel brave you wait with that as long as possible to turn the tables on them)
and walk between auto attacks while chasing( can make the difference between Just One More Hit and a save kill)
Also always reuse R to send your Banshees to your focus target.

Also, be careful with your piercing shot because it's really easy to accidentally push enemies away from melee allies or out of the areas of attacks.
Right. Cool.
Any more general tips about the game? (Besides "stay the fuck out of Diablo's melee range")
EDIT: Oh, neat, free week this week contains some of the heroes I'm most interested in trying out (ETC, Diablo, and Li Li)

Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.I find Tyrande even burstier than Raynor.
Seriously. "Support" My ass.

It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesMany Heroes could easily be a second role altogether.
Tyrande can easly get close to 40k dmg AND heal 40-50k in a game.
Kelthas,Jaina and Tychus can push lanes really hard and so on.

Alright, someone explain the best way to play ETC to me. I tried him, and a lot of the time when I tried to get into melee I got my ass handed to me.
(Being up against a Muradin and an Arthas probably didn't help.)
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Spam his self heal, skill everything into powerslide and moshpit.
Headbang
Ugh. The lag for this game is impossible sometimes. The worst part is that I can't tell whether it'll be manageable or not until after I've already jumped in most the time.
, I want more basic help than that, I'm afraid.
Hell, I'm not entirely sure what being a "Warrior" entails, to be honest.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.
Kael apparently still has one quote about serving Kil'Jaeden. I'm not quite mad, this is probably Kael when he's serving Illidan, not directly to Kil'Jaeden, it makes sense. It's when Kael becomes Kil'Jaeden's direct Dragon that he went completely bonkers.
Is it safe to say that the whole treatment to Warcraft characters' personality is like an Author's Saving Throw for the disillusioned Warcraft lore fans?
