Wait these people are still allowed to make movies? Doesn't three flops in a row get you fed to Steven Spielberg's pool sharks in modern Hollywood?

Feeding them to the sharks would be cruelty to the sharks, so they're allowed to live.

And feeding them to Godzilla or Pacific Rim Kaiju would give them stomach aches.

In the big scheme of things, they aren't seriously hurting anyone. We can choose to ignore them if we want.

@Canid: Seltzer and Friedberg are being secretly backed by the U.S. Government so their movies can be used for Enhanced Interrogation Techniques in Gitmo.

The movie is a limited release, anyway. All the easier to dismiss.

These movies give me hope. If these clowns can make it in pictures, then so can I.

To be honest, I don't think Seltzer and Friedberg are clowns, or at all stupid. I think they must be pretty clever to have figured out how to get so many film jobs with the least amount of effort humanly possible. Evil, yes, but not stupid.

It think it's mostly because they have miniscule budgets and the movies make money. Maybe not a lot, but compared to what they spend?

According to on-set interviews with Ken Jeong and the like, they're a couple of friendly, down to earth guys. I suspect they see nothing at all wrong with being hacks, as long as they're generating money. After all that was the rationale for the couple who invented spam.

The fact that it's in limted release, and it's even Direct to Video in the UK, proves these guys arent' as powerful as they once were.

Saw it on Netflix. I admit I enjoy these movies more for the Take Thats than the actual humor of the parody, and I did enjoy the Take Thats.

That's all that matters in show business. It's all about putting coin in the piggy bank. Those who get it are drinking Cristal from a high class escort's Manolos. Those who don't are drinking Wild Irish Rose out of an old boot. There's Mc Mansions to be bought, blow to be snorted, and supermodels to be dated. Two words: KAAA CHING!!!
