I don't see how the fanart is better, and since this is the canon page it would probably suit a canon pic better.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think part of the reason the fanart is better is that part of the deal with Roose Bolton is a minor example of They Look Just Like Everyone Else!. The card art is Obviously Evil.

Just looking at them, I prefer the upper one. He wouldn't look as Obviously Evil without the dagger and a more neutral expression.
Check out my fanfiction! That is why I prefer the second one. Roose is not supposed to look Obviously Evil. Part of the point of that character is that the reader doesn't get much foreshadowing about his being villainous. See also: They Look Just Like Everyone Else!.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Isn't policy to go with canon images whenever available?
Reaction Image RepositoryIs there any other canon images?
^^ CCG is somewhat distantly related to the series of novels, its claim to canonicity isn't very strong.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I don't suppose the Tv show is far enough along that we could use screencaps from that?
Reaction Image RepositoryThe TV show is far enough along, but it has a separate character page.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Of course. Are there any sources of official character art besides the TCG?
Reaction Image RepositoryThe videogames, the board games, the card games, the comic book, even the television shows... all great in their own right, I hope, but still secondary. The books are canon. Nothing else.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Clock is set.
In this case, what happens when the clock runs out?
If we are settling the "edit war", I like the fan art better.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. As do I. It's out of character for him to be openly menacing.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I'm good with the fan art myself.
The clock is way overdue; I'm going to close this and tag the page to leave the fan art since, from reading the trope list, it seems to fit the character more.
Specifically, the image for Roose Bolton.
The first image image is from an official TCG. The second is fanart:
It's been changed back and forth a couple times. General consensus seems to be the Fanart is better looking, but the TCG image is official. I'm not sure which one we should put more stock into.
