We were pushing it with Akiba's Trip having a dub and even this game being released here at all, but with it involving so many anime characters, I doubt it's getting a dub.
Besides, most of the people who would play this would instantly switch to the Japanese voice track anyway, and I'm sure whoever's bringing this over knows that.

Well, I know I would keep it on English voices, if only for Crispin Freeman as Shizuo.
Speaking of, whether this particular game gets a dub or not, I hope more fighting games would have the voice language toggles for individual characters like Capcom's been doing lately instead of one universal "English or Japanese" setting.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Yeah, it is curious why more games don't follow that example.
It does actually cost money to license the voice acting, so dual-audio is often reserved for when they have money to spare, since they'll have to license it twice.
Whether the Japanese or the English voices cost more, that I dunno. Do hope they keep the Japanese voice though.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueWell, if they want the voice actors from their home series to reprise their roles, they'd have to give it a union dub, which would cost more money. Not to mention that the characters' home series were dubbed in different regions.
So I think we can assume a dub isn't going to happen.
I wouldn't grab the localization just yet...
A new update release has been announced, with new playable character Emi from Devil's a Part-Timer, new balancing and other new features and doo-dads.
...Hopefully, this will somehow get ported over as either DLC or a new release, otherwise there's no reason related to the actual gameplay to get the localization save for people who have no way of importing. ;_;

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Watched some of Devil is a Part-Timer pretty recently, and I remember being disappointed finding out Maou was a mere assist. So this news pleases me.

Here's some loketest gameplay of the retake edition, dubbed Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax: Ignition.
Small sticky-note version of some of the more obvious changes:
- New characters: From Heavy Object, we have Quenser <playable> and Froletia <Support>.
- A new gameplay mechanic has been added, called the Blast Characters. Basically, you can choose a second Support character with you into battle as a "reserve". The Support on reserve can't be called as an assist directly, but is seemingly tied to your Bursts to add different effects depending on the character. What's more is, after each round, you can choose between your 2 Supports on who is the assist and who is the reserve.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Ok, even though this forum thread has been dead for over a year now, I'm rebumping it because a character page has been made for Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax. I've done most of the edits here, including adding images. Now all this page needs is proper indexing, and unfortunately I don't know how to index. Can someone who knows how to index a page come over and index it please?
I added it to Characters.Video Games so that should solve the indexing thing.
BTW, we can probably move Tatsuya to the Title Update/Ignition characters from Support. In the support section of the original, can probably ask readers to refer to the Title Update playable characters.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! Thanks. And yeah, that would make sense. I'll do it right away.
I would like good translations and subtitles for the Japanese voices and text, but unfortunately I doubt the game is getting a dub, even with a fair amount of the characters having English VAs.
