No, it was from the scourging scene. He was wearing a disguised shield over his back to protect from the whip, but it slipped on the last strike.
A local youth chapter got into a shitstorm for doing the scourging scene in their Easter reenactment.
4227-1763-3232. My 3DS Friend code. Why anyone would think that's a good idea is beyond me. Then again, I've seen stupider shit out there so...
EDIT: Someone slap me, I want to go see this now out of morbid curiosity and gaining an ego boost called 'At least I'm not that bad of a writer'.

I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Insert "Monty Python slap in the face with a wet kipper on the side of a canal" scene here. Just don't do it.
There are films that it is quite alright to say that they are not your kind of thing and hence shit without even bothering to go and see them. For you, this seems to be one of those.
I read a review on a Christian review site(www.pluggedin.com) and they didn't like the overly negative portrayal of Non Christians either. Something's clearly wrong if even fellow Christians think you are going too far in your portrayal of nonbelievers.
If I recall, while filming the Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel was left on the cross and struck by lightning.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Seems like something was sending him a message.
But since he survived it, perhaps it was approval and a way to grant him amazing heavenly powers. "With this lightning, I give you... the power to survive lightning."
Or maybe it was "Don't leave your lead actor on a cross in the middle of a thunderstorm, idiots."
I managed to catch a synopsis and point-by-point deconstruction of this movie and omigodguize; it's amazing. This movie is almost literally the gay atheist college professor meme. Like you could totally make that meme into a clip with this movie. The arguments put forth on both sides are so terribly inept I'm wondering whether or not the writers were intentionally trolling their target audience.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Dare I ask for the link?
I can't find the original scathing synopsis I read but this one is really good for a more intellectual beatdown.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote? That article couldn't have done a better job of eviscerating that film if the writer had done it with a chainsaw.
Moral of the story? Don't write a film that rips the piss out of philosophy professors when there are real philosophy professors out there who can, will, and gladly, rip you a new one.
Aside from not getting Rocky IV, he did a pretty good job.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiI think I just gave myself a headache trying to comprehend the stupidity of this film.
Looking at some of the things... I can't remember if its the director or the writer, but they seem to truly believe that Christianity is as discriminated against as the film suggests.
The amount of things wrong with that idea is... I don't even know where to begin with that...
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Obvious troll film is obvious?
So... what kind of argument does this film make for God's existence?
A lot of people at my school also think Christianity is being persecuted , like with obamacare making people pay for birth control

Most Christian persecution doesn't happen in the States (or in most first-world countries that I know of), and the "persecution" that does is mostly intellectual snobbery (you know, like making sweeping generalizations about all Christians based on the actions of those that scream the loudest, that sort of thing). Discrimination and actual persecution are almost ludicrously rare over here, and honestly I think Christianity in the US is the worse for it.
Not that I'm advocating we start locking Christians up or executing them or whatever. I've just had the opportunity to meet Christians from countries where persecution is a very real thing and the difference is...striking. Whereas over here we get people making films like this rather than using the money to try to make a difference in people's lives.

There is a "war on Christians"; the ones in the Middle East, North Korea, and China. Not the American ones, who are simply finding out they can't exert the same influence over the lives of those who don't subscribe to their doctrines.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiPretty much, yeah. A philosophy teacher disagreeing with you or even being openly skeptical or mocking about the existence of God is not persecution. At most, it's just someone being a dick about their personal beliefs.
Some of my friends think the givernment should enforce virtues. I try to refute this by explains to them or asking them that the defintion of virtue is differnt depending on culture. Of course I think they're thinking of Christian virtues . So I try to explain to them why the government can't do that, and fail
Dictionary definition: A program or campaign to exterminate, drive away, or subjugate a people because of their religion, race, or beliefs: the persecutions of Christians by the Romans.
In the US, that sounds more like it applies to the fundamentalist Christian approach to Islam.
I have a "friend" who is now crowing about how the movie "is so right" on Facebook. His glowingly positive recommendation made the movie sound awful. It's apparently that bad. I don't even know how he saw it, since it's not showing in Canada. Like, at all. Anywhere. In the second biggest country in the world. (As far as I can tell).

Not Three Laws compliant.
Didn't the actor playing Jesus in Passion suffer severe injuries from the crucifixion scene? I mean, while were on the topic if religious movies
