Doggy D. Dachshund is a crusty old cartoon dog from the 1920's who hosts the web review show Toons These Days, where he reviews, translate: complains about, animated TV shows currently on the air in the United States. The series is created by Alex Dudley, who based it on a set of comics he made in college that followed the adventures of Conroy Cat, a current toon trying to make it big in animated shows, and Doggy, who was a supporting role and coached Conroy on the finer points of being a toon. The first season of Toons These Days premiered in 2011, and ended in 2012.

This weekend, Saturday, TTD Season 2 will premiere with a review of The Amazing World Of Gumball, and will hopefully be updated with 29 other episodes weekly on average into the year. This time, Conroy joins Doggy as a mainstay critic in most reviews, to provide a fair and balanced opinion instead of a more comedic, negative one.

Here's an example of what a review is like: http://dtoons.com/conroy/2012/11/toons-these-days-the-looney-tunes-show/.

This thread is for discussing past episodes and current episodes in the new season! Be sure to follow the social media links provided in the Conroy Cat Tvtropes page to see the latest episodes as they premiere.

It's just kind of weird to post the credits for something with any sort of prompt to do so.

Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova Scotian

I haven't any vidoes yet, but I hope this is a really Exaggerated spoof of the nostalgia-tard culture and the actual writer/actor likes most of these shows. Though i can't see why he woudl even have a character like this if he ''did' hate them all for real.

EDIT: Watch a few, and i take back what i said. I like how you get a 'funny' opinoin from someone who hates and and more hoenst, fair look. I'll keep watching, as i like this so far.

I recall that the creator said he brought in Conroy for a second opinion this time because his views reflect his own, other than Doggy, who bashed absolutely any cartoon nowadays and his review is more for gags. I think it was a case of the audience not completely "getting" the joke about Doggy being an old grouch who can't accept change deviating from his younger days.

Ah, so it's kind of like how The Cinema Snob hates everything, and Brad Jones likes most of the stuff he covers.

Or like how Doug Walker decided to post a real review paired with each of the Bum Reviews because people kept asking which parts of Chester's points were actually his opinion.

Mickey Mouse 2013. Of note, Mickey is heard in this review, and is voiced by Andrew Kaiko, who also wrote this episode.

Also, AA Dudley uploaded a review of Uncle Grandpa. ...which isn't exactly a review, but is more like a 10-second animated short.
