I remember a scanner darkly. Philip was a great author, and many of his works were ported as excellent cheesy scifi flicks.

War: I'm fine, it's just that my Magic deck has become a total asshole deck. To give an example, on Wednesday me and my friends played a game at our local game store. And I spent most of it just screwing with their plans.

While I haven't watched many of NC's newer stuff {Haven't been in the mood for NC lately}, I can attest that his clipless reviews have gotten far better then they use to be, because I loved his review on the 2016 Ghostbusters movie.

His Rocky and Bullwinkle review is really good. Helps that he takes a completely new look at it because he actually liked it. Plus he did a Top 11 Gravity Falls episodes, and it was great.

Never played Magic, but I occasionally do that in Hearthstone. Sometimes, being a jerk is fun.

You should love Munchkin then. Backstabbing is the whole point of the game. At least if you're playing it right.

Who is this reviewer we're talking about?

I do notice how often reviewer get flak and I've a theory for that; to be a reviewer, you had to have a strong enough opinion about things that you bothered to go make a blasted presentation about it.

Well, you know what they say about opinions, yeah? Well, it really illustrates how easily being so strongly opinionated, and broadcasting it to the world, can go wrong; you start to look like a huge asshole.

Unrelated note: Semi-colons, am I using them correctly?

That guy with the glasses? My opinion hasn't changed. His voice is a little whiny, his points are usually spot on, and his clipless stuff is boring.

You are almost never using semi-colons correctly.

Not you, in particular. That's a universal constant. Professional grammarians, are rarely using semi-colons correctly.

That sounds like something that can be achieve with a comma though so... disappointing.

I use semicolons correctly all the time... in C++, Java, Rust, etc.

As for reviewers, I like Zero Punctuation. Also Joueur du grenier, but that's more comedy than actual review.

You use a comma to join clauses that aren't complete sentences themselves; you use a semicolon to join two complete sentences. If you use a comma to join two complete sentences, you wind up with a comma splice AKA a run-on sentence.

Generally commas are used incorrectly in this case; however, semi-colons are fairly useless as there aren't many times where joining together two complete sentences is necessary.

They're useful for dialogue though, since they have a different 'sound' than periods and can be used to denote character. Of course, you can use them wrongly there, as character dialogue has the freedom of being incorrect. Since, you know, people.

The one time I used a semi-colon in actual, spoken dialogue, my most helpful editor said it physically hurt her. I kept it anyway, because I wanted that character to talk in a overly formal, precise way.

There are a few times when it is appropriate to use a semi-colon: as a list separator, where the items in the list contain commas; two closely related sentences, where you don't want the reader to hear a full stop; and that is all I can remember right now.

I can imagine that speaking a semicolon out loud could be painful.

I mean yeah, I'm not gonna say it should be used in dialogue often. It's Like Capitalizing Every Word Of Dialogue To Denote A Character Who Enunciates Too Precisely.

So tomorrow we finally see the two-part season finale on TV and IT WON'T feel like so many fans are being naughty watching the early releases online!!

I watch all the episodes online anyway, so that's kind of moot for me.

But I was getting tired of not being able to talk about the episode for spoilery reasons, so there's that.

I'm just a little annoyed that the fact that the episodes leaked means that they won't be available on Youtube. I had to watch Top Bolt on Dailymotion, and the playback kept freezing.

Time to go to sleep.
