Kind of hard to keep humans and ponies seperate ever since they introduced a magical portal that crosses over the two worlds.

Unless you're in the main show, which ignores that part of the continuity.

I was about to say. EQG may as well not exist in the show.

It's also difficult to argue that EQG includes real humans, given that they have characters with purple skin.

I do think that making them multicolored was a sensible way to avoid real world race issues.

And a pretty good way to make the point that it's more-or-less a humanized Equestria, and not our world.

I really can't stand it when people try to equate the EG world to our own.

Yeah, it really makes very little sense to try and do that, especially because each movie makes it more clear that they really aren't the same.

Also, there's the whole magic thing.

I do think that it's funny that the two big characters created specifically for EQG have comparatively normal colors (aside from their hair). It's like the character designers are saying that they're not important enough to be technicolored.

Like I said before, when I put humans in Equestria, I just say that humans have always been there. You just haven't seen any yet. You haven't seen a lot of things yet.

I dunno, both of them lean a bit towards the Orange end of the scale. If they were real people, I think they'd look like they used way too much spray tan or something.
