Looking back at our last abomination, it still cracks me up every time.

Wow, this is pretty long already, I wonder what the word count is gonna be like.

I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but I lost all the sympathy I had for Discord. He backstabbed the Mane 6 and he got easily forgiven? That was really unfair because I felt his actions were sugar coated.

Plus, I'm surprised that he hasn't gained a hatedom for making Fluttershy cry.

Eh, fans are too protective of Fluttershy. Her crying happens pretty often.

I haven't lost all sympathy, but I never had much to begin with. His actions in the s4 finale didn't help, but him threatening to dump Tree Hugger into a nightmarish dimension of chaos out of jealousy and possibly dooming a mailpony for Black Comedy made me really dislike the character on a personal level.

Sunset Shimmer's redemption was more sincere. Least of which is that she doesn't swerve back and forth from learning aesops to forgetting about them.

I at least liked that in the latest ep, twi and the others called Discord out on his shit. And yet fans cry pity for the guy when nopony was going out of their way to be mean, they just had a social event to attend.

Daymn, that's an old-ass discussion.

Anyways, he ain't perfect, far from it, but even during that time on Tirek's side, he still didn't oust Twi's alicornism up until the last moment. And after all was done, he had some major regret. Ya gotta remember, even though Fluttershy befriended him before then, he was still a character to keep an eye on, as the other members of the Mane 6 noted.

Discord wasn't really fully reformed up until the Season 4 finale, and even now he's still a little iffy, but he's at least got some good in him now.

That's all I have to say, I'm not the type to start long-winded arguments and shit.

@dark: It wasn't really nightmarish, it was just sock puppets.

And yeah, where did this come from all of a sudden? I think the S4 finale made it clear that, while he had learned the value of friendship, he still had a long way to go. I don't think anyone had any illusions about him being less mischievous or not worth keeping an eye on. The Mane 6 still treat him with suspicion, and somewhat justified suspicion too. He was clearly in the wrong this time.

I think I was a little biased because I hate backstabbers. Then again, people forget that Discord was a past villain and still had some jerkass tendencies, so the Mane 6 and arguably the fans of this show should have seen the betrayal coming.

Wow, you're going back to THEN? I feel like I've time warped.

And again, no one besides Fluttershy and maybe Pinkie can even stand the guy when he's around, so it's not like they're all friendly. And the show doesn't treat that attitude as unjustified or unwarranted.

I'm not too worried about the Mail Pony since he was able to enter the chaos dimension somehow. I'm sure he can leave again the same way

And yet, he's still only the second most dedicated mail carrier I've ever seen.

x7 I think it's because the show doesn't want to make it look like the other Mane 6 are trying to make Discord look like a saint.

I feel like I'm the only fan who doesn't hate Starlight Glimmer and Gilda as villains.

Which is the point. He's clearly not a saint, and they know it. Trying to sell him as 'definitely reformed' would be a stretch.

I doubt Derpy would have made it any better. Though in her case, flying through chaos was the easy bit.

And speak for yourself, any place that ignores gravity, has weird creatures that possibly could kill you, and trippy dimensions would freak me out.

On Discord: I've always believed that anyone can change, but that changing is hard. The important thing is if they're trying, which I think Discord is.

Also, on Twixie, the fact that I believe that if Trixie was male as was originally planned (or if Twilight or both were), Twixie would have a completely different fanbase is one of the reasons I dislike Twixie, because it's because "Yay, lesbians!" instead of any actual, in-character reason which should remain unchanged regardless of the genders of the shippees outside of previously established sexuality.

Well see, the dimension he was threatening Tree Hugger with was NOT that. It was literally just a live-action sock puppet in a sombrero.

So the RR is about as good as can be expected, but it needs more gratuitous gay couples just throwing it out there.

I don't think that fans would see Trixie any other way if she were male. It's just fans playing favorites, which is annoying.
