Serious interest checking on a Super Robot Wars RP based on tokusatsu

I dunno.... Some Original Generation villain who unites Black Cross Leader, The Great Leader of Shocker, Ultraman Belial and other major Toku villains of that vain under one flag, with the heroes doing a similar thing, but with many flags (The Ultra Force, The Rescue Force, The Kamen Rider Club, the USSPRA, etc.)

Probably heading to that since it's a SRW-inspired game.

The title, tentative, is Super Hero Taisen Battle.

So yeah. I've got two main ideas and both of them are a little bit contingent on someone else choosing a given character. >.<

The story'll have to come later since I'm having dinner.

But the main big bad is taken from the SPIRITS manga, since he makes a badass villain.

Speaking of Ultras...How would they (and Megazords for that matter) work? I mean...most Kamen Riders that aren't J or Decade seem like they'd kind of be at a disadvantage against an enemy that's meant to be taken on by something the size of a skyscraper.

Also, curious as to how Ranger/Sentai Megazords/weapon-combination-thingies are going to work in general. Since I don't really think we're likely to get all the members of any given team present in the RP.

- Good question. I'm just thinking of leaving them human-sized as compensation in case someone chooses to be an Ultraman.

- Yeah. Sentai/PR characters won't have access to their robots for this one to be fair since the others have said that they want to play Riders. As for weapon combination, I think that's out of the question unless there's a miracle where all the X number of Sentai/ranger characters are present.

OK, I'm going to wait and see who signs up with who before I make my final decision.

Hm... I have a question... Are OC's allowed? And if so, what kind? I can name three.

1. Original Character, established powers (E.G. OC with Decade's powers)
2. Original Character, Original, Yet Established Powers (E.G. OC with a Double Driver and the Blade Memory)
3. Original Character, Original Powers (E.G. OC who can transform into a Ninja Hero)

Seeing the SRW roots, I wouldn't be surprised if OCs were allowed. Just as long as they didn't outnumber the canon characters I guess.

...Have a really kind of silly idea for a type 2 OC if they are allowed, though... Hmmm. >.> <.<

Regarding the Ultraman issue, if I were playing one, I'd A.) have the character keep that from other teammates, and try to pass as "just" a member of the Science Patrol/whatever, and B.) Keep in mind Ultraman's weakness, the three-minute time limit, so after about four or five posts, I'd mention that the Warning Light is starting to change.

- Still working on the story. Halfway, I got some OG villains ready. I need to figure out the story in terms of what the end goal is.

That could work. One of the ideas in the bank seems to be an OC with the G4 System.

The year is 20XX. Many years after the defeat of various villains to take over and subjugate the Earth under their rule or inflict a reign of terror, peace was brought back and their misdeeds were long forgotten and instead, became part of human history.

It was not long before a string of attacks worldwide were brought to the attention of the various superhero individuals and teams with a threatening note brought to their attention.

The various heroes would need to put any of their differences aside to work out who was the culprit responsible for sending out the threatening note and more importantly, who is the new threat that wants to bring chaos to the world?

I probably will need to look at some Ultraman baddies since IIRC it didn't receive much exposure in Philippine TV.

Honestly...I don't see how that solves the potential problems with an Ultraman's size. I get that it's kind of a major part of the series, but it causes some fairly major problems and from what I've seen, they tend to have a lot of other abilities anyway.

I mean, against a similarly sized opponent, that's 3 minutes for them to win the fight with every non-Ultraman character (and based on what people have said they're planning on using, that would be the majority of the cast) more or less unable to do anything to impact the outcome of the fight (they could...get stepped on and give the opponent the equivalent of a splinter at the cost of their life, I guess). Meanwhile against a human sized opponent...well, I assume they wouldn't go giant sized against a human sized opponent, but if they did, they could probably just step on them and finish it in a few seconds.

Of course, this might be irrelevant since no one's actually said they're going to use an Ultraman yet.

Now I have two major villains. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Ultraman doesn't fight human-sized baddies. Even the few times there's been a Big Bad in Ultraman, said baddie has also been skyscraper-sized.

Actually, looks like I'm going to be bucking the trend and playing a Sentai character instead. >.>

I also have a random Sentai Idea... OC as Deathryuger... though it'd be "What if Deathryuger was a Spirit Ranger akin to Kyoryucyan and Kyoryugrey?"

Though it would require him to bond with his Zyudenryu.
