Mighty No. 9 - Spiritual Sucessor to Mega Man by Keiji Inafune himself

How is the level design? I know Inafune and his team can't mess up the boss fights so I don't care about them at the moment. I'll just wait until its on youtube until i can see how the powers work against them.

Level design is good and fair. Gets really brutal the further you go.

Trinity is like a bullet hell boss. Other form has a insta-kill if you get too close to her. Missing some attacks in that build though. Probably didn't code it them yet by that build.

Shrug. Other indies/kickstarted project could do it. (Broken Age.)

They'll probably have to patch the multi sometime later, anyway. I bet it won't be perfect.

Like Megaman but with more sibling focus! And there is a plot, but it's cleverly(dunno the right word) hidden because you will notice it if you focus behind the siblings thing.

Not saying anything for Ray since she's getting a script overhaul and will be drastically different in the final.

Metal Gear Call. No, really. She also has one of the most brutal stages and puzzles are in it too (fitting for a stealth stage).

Oh, thought you mean gameplay. She's kind of confusing to crack. She does gain emotions but...they show up only when Beck is around. If he's not around, she snarks about him and Dr. White. Never had something so deadpan sounded so sassy and joking at the same time to their partner.

So: Deadpan sassy android.

I really like how their (Beck and Call) relationship actually treats them like cousins or really well forged friends. It's nice.

Dunno, we only got 28 days until release and they did say many things changed from the beta to the final build...

I hope things didn't change for the worse.

EDIT: Do you think the characters stand on their own as separate identities from Mega Man and co.?

The characters do have few inspirations from their expies but they do have their own personalities and quirks to have separate identities from them.

....I love Mighty No. 9 and still do. But that trailer is just....*cringes*.

That really doesn't seem like the best way to appeal to audiences.

EDIT: Dynatron must be really popular among the fanbase than I exepected. She appeared in all the trailers!

I thought Mega Man fans would be the target demographic. Either way, Yeesh. I feel bad for the kickstarters now. That did not look like what I was expecting the game to be.

That advertising agency should not get a second job though
