Accepted as well. I like his backstory now that it's been fleshed out, espescially since it gives him a connection to Alego. Might be able to use that in the story. Also, out of curiosity, was Orin in the cavalry or the infantry?

Oh, and one last thing, I should probably edit the signup template to include Class. The two who have signed up are fine seeing as I can tell that one's a soldier and one's a nymph but for future signups, add the class. Also, I'll edit the first post to show our first two characters.

Will we be dealing with Currency?

If so what currency system will be used?

Not sure what my "class would be" I'm still deciding on whether or not to give her a healing spell of some sort.

...Why do you think Currency would be brought up? Though if there is, I'm expecting the same one used in Greece.

Nymph doubles both as race and class though if you want to put a healing spell in there, I suppose you could put Healer as your class. As for currency, it's going to be a standard Greek drachma system.

Quick question, will we end up running into some classical creatures, such as a blind Polyphemus or a slightly crazed Cassandra?

  • Name: Davros
  • Age: 30
  • Class: Lyrist
  • Race: Human
  • Weapons:
    • Lute
    • Lyre
    • Pan Flute
    • Giraffe: He calls him Plato, he's really got a taste for wine.
  • Appearance: Here ya go.
  • Skills: He can play basically any instrument, is a smooth talker, and can hold his wine like a champ. He also knows how to ride animals pretty well.
    • Spell list:
      • Charm Animal: What it sounds like. Can probably calm down an animal, but if it's a mega-pissed kraken or something it's one hell of a longshot.
      • Death Metal: A powerful song that causes even the dead to dance, and he can influence one or two of the skeletons enough to make them fight as long as he keeps playing.
      • Ghost Sound: Can make music that sounds like all sorts of animals, as well as throwing them (like a ventriloquist throwing his voice) in a different direction.
      • Revitalize: A song that gives people a second wind, and lets them ignore their wounds for a bit.
  • Backstory: "But dad, I don't want to be a barbarian, I want to play music" are the exact words a young Davros told his father back in Macedonia. He ran away to Thebes to learn all about music, wine, and the fairer sex instead of fighting. He spent the next few years traveling around as a minstrel, making his living playing his instruments. After a wine-filled night of drinking turned into a two year adventure that wound up taking him around Africa, and somehow winding up back in Sparta with a giraffe, he heard about Alego's offer and decided that he'd either be a hero, or hide behind a rock and watch the heroes while working on the next great ballad of their exploits.

[up][up] I'm going to keep quiet on that for now as to not to ruin things! evil grin

[up] He sounds good but I have two questions. How big is Plato? Is this like a baby giraffe or a full-grown one? Keep in mind that our characters may have to travel on ships at some point. While it's not impossible for a giraffe to fit on one, it'd be one hell of a squeeze. Secondly, for the Death Metal spell, when you say skeletons, do you mean just ordinary skeletons or the monster kind that walk and try to kill you type? Keep in mind, the latter exist.

Oh and the disscusion thread is up!

So... would he be able to summon them anywhere? Or would dead bodies have to be around at the time?

All right then, accepted. I'll wait one or two more days for expected signups and then I'll put up the main thread.

Accepted but just add her weapons/equipment in and you can start posting in the discussion thread. I'll probably put up the main thread later today.
