So this may be just taken for granted or has been previously discussed in Negima discussion threads, but isn't the Lifemakers 'lifemaking' ability just ridiculously broken?
She can create an endlessly respawning army of top-tier fighters with their own unique magical powers & summons, and even if you kill them or seal them for eternity, she can just recreate them with ease.
I'm surprised this isn't even commented more in-series.
She's effectively a god, so this is not information that surprises anyone at this point. As Dynamis (offscreen) explains it to Chisame, the name Lifemaker is literal. This is already on top of having created the foundation ME is based on, and Royal Magic.
She's not omnipotent though. Asuna was still needed to port the entirety of MM into CE. We still don't know what the deal with that is, and we'll probably never get a proper answer out of this series.
So the cat-eared spacesuit isn't just a Natsumi thing, they come standard. It's probably Chao's fault somehow.
In any case, it's nice to see the band back together and Neg not solving everything on his own.
I know the answer is A Wizard Did It, but I still want to know how the Wizard Did It to allow mages to breathe in space. It can't just be a demon/construct thing because Rakan is space-suitless as well and he's got no demonic heritage in him.
As for the cat-eared spacesuits, the Ala Alba girls are known to favor "cute" designs for their clothing, even in combat. The spacesuits may even be costumes created by their Pactio cards, so they're just magic constructs like their "battle outfits".

Remember that Rakan is a magical construct too, technically, in the sense that all the Mundus Magicus people are.
It's been fun.True, but I don't think it's ever been suggested that they could get by without breathing.
Almost every setting/video game (when relevant) I've played typically has magic that let's people breath in what would otherwise be uninhabitable environments. Given the scale everyone is playing on at this point, breathing in space isn't probably a big deal.
FFXIV explicitly has it be magic that lets you swim underwater forever without drowning...or succumbing to pressure differentials.
However, space is a wee bit of a different beast than the sea.
140 raws out. Apparently, Chisame wins. Eva gets Nagi in the end.
Kirie gets 2nd place in the poll, while Kuromaru takes 1st place.

So does this invalidate the previous scene showing that she turned him down, or?
I'm not reading the series, mostly getting my news from here.
It's been fun.No, it seems like he just did as she told him during the first confession and asked her again 5 years later. Since he wasn't a child anymore, she said yes.

So Akamatsu basically Mathematician's Answered the question of who Negi married at the end of Negima.
I can't honestly say I respect that. I think it's cowardly.
It's been fun.How is it a Mathematician's Answer exactly? It seems like we were just given the answer right now.
Sorry, I should have phrased that better. When the question was addressed at the end of Negima, it was strictly true that no one had won at that time. Thus, Mathematician's Answer.
It's been fun.Ah, yes, I see what you mean. I don't exactly think of it as cowardly though. It's not like he didn't show it because of he was afraid of backlash. He just didn't give himself any time to show the proper Negima ending due to cutting it short.
I'm glad that he's had the chance through UQ Holder to show the full ending to Negima including Negi's eventual partner and the rescue of his father.
True, it would be objectively better if it was included in Negima itself, but it's over and done with now.
Wow, Eva and Nagi getting together seems more forced than Kishimoto's putting Naruto and Hinata together
Wow, Negi and Chisame feels like Akamatsu just pulled her name at random from a big bowl.
Still no seiyu confirmed for Santa.
I don't know about that. Of all the 3A girls, she seems most compatible in terms of outlook and temperment, especially out of the smaller circle of girls Negi was actually emotionally close to at all. She's intelligent but also kinda cynical, which makes a nice balance for Negi's optimism and naivete, and he is the kind of person who would want someone around who isn't afraid to tell him off when he's being an idiot.
I mean, I probably wouldn't have called it when I was reading the series, but in hindsight it makes a certain amount of sense.

I've always liked their interactions together, so I'm happy with this outcome.
Chisame was basically the heroine of the Magic World arc, so it honestly makes perfect sense to me.
It's been fun.Yeah, makes sense to me too. I thought it was going that direction during the training Negi had with Rakan.
My picks (in descending order of preference + likelihood) would have been:
1) Chisame
2) Nodoka + Yue
3) Evangeline or Chachamaru
Yeah, I think it was always like that. Honestly, once we learned that Chisame and Asuna were basically halved versions of Naru from Love Hina, it was one or the other - and if the Magic Cancel means that Akamatsu had Asuna's whole deal planned from the start, it was always Chisame.
That said, I think she also just got more characterization with him. Nodoka is an adorable sweetheart and a badass, but her love for Negi was always more about her (narratively) - what it meant that she admitted it, the resolve it gave her, etc. Chisame's relationship with Negi, as in how they interacted, had memorable moments like the Magia Erebea scroll. Chisame's thoughts on Negi and her feelings for him were fairly complex.
It's been fun.Just watched the OAD. It's a compressed telling of Dana's training arc ( focusing on mainly on Touta and Eva).

Either they're for some reason a lot older then the rest...or a lot less successful. I'm sure CE has come to blows against plenty of other people throughout the Lifemaker's existence. Or maybe the Lifemaker just really likes water.
