I don't know which Elder could pull off the depiction of an angel and be considered a jackass?

Though the character of the Elder in question may be changed into a jackass for the film.

You know I wonder if they'll have the Guardians and Avengers team up against Thanos for the finale of the Infinite Gauntlet storyline?

Speaking of Infinity Gauntlet storyline, was on Thanos story marathon and read Marvel Universe: The End the other day. Really, hope that Thanos curbstomps all heroes. That and like Infinity Gauntlet comic, hopefully Silver Surfer is introduced to Marvel Cinematic Universe and has instrumental role in it. Can't wait for the movie which has Adam Warlock makes his appearance.

Unless something different happened I'm pretty sure the Surfer is under Fantastic Four jurisdiction.

Yeah, Surfer is still held by 20th Century Fox as part of the F4 movie rights.

Apparently Namor doesn't belong to Universal anymore but vexingly, neither does he to Marvel.

Did he default to Fantastic Four or is he in limbo? I mean, I know he's supposed to be a mutant but he's so far removed from the X-men that that sort of thing can be avoided so either he went to Fox under the Fantastic for or is in some sort of legal copyright mumbo jumbo limbo we mere mortals cannot even begin to comprehend.

That is true. It cannot be emphasized enough that Namor is all dick. Locally grown, no additives or preservatives, just good old fashioned 100% pure dick.

Last I heard, Namor is in a complicated legal territory as a consequence of many old franchise contracts putting him in a similar but inverted state as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver; nobody can use him, at least not without navigating a legal quagmire that nobody's willing to bother with.

So he falls into the trap of, "This is a spectacular character, but unfortunately in a universe with literally thousands of usable characters, it's just not worth the sheer amount of bullshit we'd have to go through to bring him to the big screen."

100% is probably understating it.

His levels have got to be at least 200%, and could theoretically run all the way up to 1000%, if you can believe it.

Yes, Namor has the dipshit capacity of TEN MEN!

He is one of Marvel's first supervillain/antiheroes, after all.

It's a shame, because I've always thought it'd be really cool to have a Marvel One Shot with Captain America, Namor and the Original Human Torch as an Invaders reference, set back during WW 2.

But then that kinda makes Tony Stark look less impressive when there's a full-on fucking ANDROID THAT CAN FLY in the 1940s, and we can't have that.

We already know Jim Hammond existed in the MCU. He appears in a cameo in Captain America: The First Avenger.

It's just a question of whether he'll ever be acknowledged, similar to Adam Warlock. Whether he becomes a character or just remains a cute cameo is entirely up to future writers.
