Overrated and Underrated Characters

I started this thread because I wanted to discuss characters who get little to a lot of praise.

Underrated: Betty from Atomic Betty She;s a good female character who is well-written, competent, pretty, nice, and tomboyish, yet she's not talked about that much.

Overrated: Princess Luna from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Sure Luna is a great character, but she's too overpraised and in Equestria Daily, she usually dominates the polls.

This has potential of ending badly.

i don't need a spider-sense to see a lockdown coming. this could very quickly become a "let's bash popular characters for being popular" thread.

To be honest, I didn;t mean to do that, but if that's the case I'll holler at the mods to see if it's good.

Or we could do where characters we think are 'overrated' are characters we like, but have no idea why they're so wildly popular.

Or we could just have a thread for underrated characters.

I mean, I think it'll start off civil well enough but eventually people won't be able to resist the urge to take potshots at character (or better yet whine over their character being the target of choice.)

But to be on topic:

Overrated Character: Wolverine (Wolverine and the X-Men). The show never gave a good reason why Wolverine had to be the leader. Yes, Cyclops was going through his angst, but Wolverine never displayed the qualities the show kept shilling him with.

Underrated Character: Lagoon Boy (Young Justice). The Die for Our Ship and Ron the Death Eater treatment he got rubbed me the wrong way. He was no more hot headed than Kid Flash or Superboy, and I thought he was funny.
