This will come as old news to anyone who knows/cares, but I've just recently started watching Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and would like to express my incredulity that the same guy voices Bloo and Lord Hater. I cannot imagine two more different voices. Guy has range.
I was just as impressed. You're not the only one. He's a great voice actor.
TOM and Starscream. same dude, i kid you not.

Also, Squidward and Professor Membrane.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I recently learned that Squidward was also the Chief from the Carmen Sandiego cartoon. But I think those voices sound alike, so no big surprise.
I can't decide whether I like this series or not.
On the one hand, you have episodes like The Bad Guy, on the other, you have stuff like The Prisoner, which is pretty much a Humiliation Conga.
To me, Wander seems best in episodes not featuring Lord Hater or his minions.

The ending of the bad guy seemed weak to me, especially hearing Lex Luther saying 'Tickles'... Other than that, fun episode.
I still like the groovy style in the fact it looks like a 60's cereal cartoon. But in all honesty, The humor can get pretty tiresome in SOME episodes.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThe art style is basically Jay Ward's with brighter colors and an actual animation budget. So it's only right that it looks like a cereal commercial—Jay Ward designed Cap'n Crunch.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. All this talk about it looking like cereal art makes me wish they had some real cereal product.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice...Don't you guys mean SERIAL?
No, we don't, actually.
*is confused*
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Tonight's episode being a take-that to the critics.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."What critics...? All I hear after awhile are a bunch of cynics who don't even know what they want out of a show like this on other forums, IMHO.
I'm glad that's not the case here for the most part (criticism of this show so far is actually quite intelligent and understandable around here, which is all I can ask for!)
Then again, this still isn't Mc Cracken's best, but at least he is trying IMHO!
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I think the overriding problem is that McCracken's storytelling style hasn't changed a hell of a lot since PPG. He's very much a stand-alone, one-and-done guy, and recent cartoons have trained us to expect coherent world-building and/or character arcs. Yonder is a fun, funny show with a trained sense of humor, a great voice cast and an engaging visual style, but that hasn't been enough to keep the periphery demographic's goodwill for a while now.
I enjoy it, it's a good show, but it's not appointment television for me the way Adventure Time, Regular Show and Gravity Falls are, because at the end of the day there's nothing keeping me coming back.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. Thanks for pointing out what I mean, exactly - this show so far only serves as a good time sink. It needs to aspire to be more than that, especially if Gravity Falls can do it with little to no fail!

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.That episode was a public service announcement to Bronies.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIf that's so, then now I just enjoy it even more!
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.It's only my . Plus, if so, it's to remind them to ignore all haters, y'know. (Come to think of it, it's for any fandom really.*Stares at Sonic Fanboys*)
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI dunno if the show really needs to change. I mean, it seems like the sort of thing kids would like just fine, and while McCracken's always been pretty good at Parental Bonus I wouldn't say his shows have ever been driven by it. He's clearly not aiming this at us.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I can ONLY assume that's why this show isn't as well received as his earlier works (as much as I would have hoped the opposite, if only so Disney Channel (Not DXD) can have more than one GOOD cartoon under their belt, but whatever!), overall.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I like Phineas and Ferb! It can suffer from the same problems, but the metaplot is enough to keep me coming back. I like Wander Over Yonder, too. It just needs a good hook.
The irony of the fanbase turning on McCracken for doing exactly what he's spent the last fifteen years being lauded for is not lost on me.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.
Yeah, sounds like it.
By the way, was the computer voiced by Michael Sinterniklaas? Sounded like a robotic Dean Venture.
