I don't know, let alone even care for that matter - this show is pretty damn good!
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Make a gag-driven show with engaging characters, simple yet striking design work, a top-notch vocal cast, and a sense of humor ever-so-slightly above the heads of children.
Again, the modern Periphery Demographic has come to expect an overarching plot or at least some clear sense of character growth, neither of which are things McCracken has ever had a demonstrable interest in. So he gets shit, even though people loved both PPG and Foster's despite them having the exact same "flaws".

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Sad, really - So many people hung up on nostalgia, and not for the best of reasons, considering earlier work comparisons to this.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I don't think it's so much nostalgia. It's just that anything before Danny Phantom gets grandfathered into the fandom's good graces because the trend towards heavy serialization hadn't started yet.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Just saw it.
Wow. SOMEONE had a horrible experience with Internet trolls!
I'm detecting some hostility here.
Assuming Mc Cracken gets LA Xed some day and there's a WOY reboot in the manner of the Thunder Cats reboot, the big change would be to include all these strange places that Wander has visited, but to do so as part of an overall narrative with Wander as the reluctant revolutionary.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."I don't know what "LAXing" is, and also the big difference between Thundercats and WOY is that the former wasn't a comedy. At least not intentionally.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. The moral of this episode, and the premise that was built on it, was creative and entertaining, but as a result, the moral was more anvilicious than usual for this show.
Just watched the Troll episode. I don't remember the last time a plot was so predictable.
Also, it raises a question. Wander was shown to be oblivious to his annoyingness. And here, he is wise beyond expectations. How can someone be oblivious to social cues and yet be a master of detecting them? Does Wander have a split personality?
It's a cartoon with little continuity. There's my answer.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI see. So, every time I watch a cartoon, I should have the lowest expectations.
Wander is the biggest jerk sensei in the universe. He makes his lessons stick by being a jerk about them.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."No. This specific cartoon has no serialized plot, except travel the galaxy and stop some hater's plan. Each episode can jump from good to great, much like Wander's persona, Wise hippy to naive happy-go-lucky screwball.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI think Wander plays up his obliviousness to make folks underestimate him. That doesn't mean he's not legitimately as chipper and optimistic as he seems, just that he's brighter than anyone except maybe Sylvia gives him credit for.
And to be fair, the way to defeat the Troll was so blindingly obvious that Wander would have to be fair thicker than established not to notice it.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I liked the episode. The troll in episode reminded me of Fuzzy Lumpkins.
Seriously, I think Wander was being what Know Your Meme called a 'Cannibal Troll'. I kind of believe that Wander is also hiding his intelligence. Which I believe is a smart move if you're traveling around in dangerous parts.
His mom is some kid from Foster's home for imaginary friends.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSomeone pointed out that there is, in fact, a friend in Foster's that looks like an aged Wander, so that very well might be the case—though granted it can never be confirmed for copyright reasons.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. That's EXACTLY what i was talking about.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceYou wouldn't mean Creaky Pete, would you? He's the only character I can think of who kind of looks like Wander.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Just started watching this yesterday. THE CARTOON GODS HAVE GRACED US ONCE AGAIN. And that music- oh, God that theme music, I just...It's been stuck in my head all day. AND I LOVE IT. I knew Craig and Lauren wouldn't disappoint on this show.
