And people complain about Half-Life 3 taking a long time. The first Chess came out in the 1500's.
What the hell is an Ouya?
"It all depends on how we look at things, and not on how they are themselves." -C.G. JungSkepticism is perhaps warranted.
The rules to play on a physical chess board instead of a virtual one for the Ouya console has already been released for free, so you can go check it out here.
Looking at the rules, it appears well thought about.
Of course, you may need basic knowledge on how to play the original chess game in order to know how to play this one.
Interestingly, the site glitched out and offered a "rebate" of 20% if I referred the deal to a friend (despite the product itself being free).

I got that too. The rebate was also 0 dollars.
The self-proclaimed sequel is being made for the Ouya!
This chess variant, with the rules being released today in PDF form (and can be played with a standard chess board, the new rule being that one can win if their king crosses the midline of the board), eliminates stalemate, adds a new win condition (with checkmate sill the option), allows selection from 6 different armies (with Mirror Matches being allowed, thus having a combination of about 21 different matchups) and rules pertaining to dueling (which is similar to bidding).
See it here.
It also contains a link to where you can "purchase" a free PDF explaining the rules of the game.
