Suggestion: Chainsaw Good

First off: I love Evil Dead, I love the poster, and the image itself is great. However, the chainsaw is a relatively minor part of the (black and white) image.

Maybe a crop like this?◊ Or this iconic image◊ (which is also good because it has the chainsaw seeing use, rather than just being a prop). I like this◊, although the blurriness of the chainsaw hinders it considerably.

Either is an improvement. 2 and 3 are the same image, but so far, I like 1.

3 is too blurry.

First is good.

I like 1 best. I can't make out a chainsaw in 3.

I like 2 the best since the chainsaw is clearly part of the solution in the pic.

7.1: I like how it has the chainsaw, as well as chains in the background. But it's just... kind of ugly.

7.2: ... I love that. So much.

1.2 and 7.2 are my favs so far.

Incidentally, the current is actually 454px large.

Yeah, I picked it because I like the way it's almost like a parody of a warrior meditating over his sword.

Patrick Bateman◊ solves his problems◊ with a chainsaw◊?

I'd be more up for a picture of Ash either way, because he's a iconic character known for his Chainsaw.

So is Bateman.

Not as well known as Ash though. The character has been in three movies(four if you count the reboot), four games, and countless comic books, and he almost always packs the saw. He's so iconic for it that he might as well have created the trope for having a Chainsaw Arm(if that's not a trope, it should be)

Yes, the evil dead series has more media, but American psycho sold better and to a large audience.

This is kind of beside the point anyway... there are plenty of more important factors to determining a page image before we get to which work is higher quality.

(Chainsaw arms are currently part of a broader trope - Badass Transplant or Blade Below the Shoulder, I think.)

Get's my vote because it pretty much embodies chainsaw good.

Side note: I really have begun to hate motion blur in live action. It makes it impossible to get a screengrab of Dennis Hopper going dual chainsaw in a duel against a chainsaw impaled and chainsaw wielding Leatherface.

Saddest moment of my life.

Maybe, I like the 'chucks more, but I could live with it.

I like 1.2 and 7.2 so far. I also like 12.1, but I prefer the Evil Dead pics.

This is one of those, "lots of suggestion, so I'll wait for a crowner" threads.

Eeyup! At this point, there's no way we can pick one without a crowner.

The only Bateman pic I like is the second. The second clown pic in the "chainsaw good" link is good.

Here's some Warhammer 40000 options: 1◊, 2◊, 3◊. All can be cropped...the last might be too washed out, but cropping will help.
