It's a known issue.
Hollering for lock of duplicate thread.

It shows a green box around not what way you've voted on, but on what way gets the most votes, whenever or not you've actually voted that way in the first place. Even the tooltip of the arrow buttons implies that I've actually voted for the way that had the most votes, despite otherwise.
The site itself, though, DOES know which way I've voted, so if I had already voted down instead of up, and the green boxes implies I've voted up, when I click the down arrow, it outright tells me I've already voted that way.
