Maddy's suggestion shows more differences than the current, and it goes right down to the girly-girl having her pinkie curled daintily. Rodney's work on it is very helpful. I vote for that.
The OP's suggestion is less nice, and to me it looks like Butch Lesbian vs Lipstick Lesbian ("butch" here is different to "tomboy").
