Would you like to keep working on the very same things over and over for the rest of your life?
I guess that may be the case, but I still say this series doesn't have to end up being the "little sister" to Teen titans go! or another cash cow. So i'm hoping these new writers will know what the hell they're doing.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceOkay, I haven't been on these forums for weeks...so what's going on with this show?
Apparently, CN is gonna revive it.
Yeah. Make of that what you will.

If they use the special's art style, I could probably actually come to live with it.... as long as everything else (most especially characterization) is more akin to the original series.
Unfortunately, I am somewhat afraid that it'll ultimately end up like Teen Titans Go.
Ah well. Even if it does, all it'll take to restore my love for the franchise proper is to rewatch The Movie.

Regarding your last sentence - I kind of wish more people had your outlook on things around here...
It's a shame just how that special turned out in the first place.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.The special just had it's own experimental art style. It's the ending that gets me.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceYour first sentence is the one good thing I think stands out about it... But even then, it's still the artstyle used that seems to be to many to be polarizing as a concept.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.If the fans would just simply and calmly tell the artists to at least make their heads the classic O shape again, and switch back some of their personalities, then you may be on the right track. Still, I doubt CN would really turn their classic brainchildren into A TTG!tagalong. I mean, would they ever do that to a classic? Uh...
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI liked the art style (though the animation itself veered into the Uncanny Valley for me a few times). It was the writing I hated.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. There was a new episode!? When? Why?
Supports cartoons being cartoony!Have you not heard of the special that aired early this year?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I did not. But I definitely need to watch it. I like the ppg, despite the later seasons.
Supports cartoons being cartoony!Ehhhh...you don't need to watch it. Trust me. It's not worth it.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.oh no..Now I definitely HAVE to look at the reviews lol
Supports cartoons being cartoony!Aw, hell, if you want, just go watch it and decide for yourself first. [1] It's polarizing, but maybe you might like it.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I mean, sure, almost everything about the special list sucked like hell, but it was just 30 minutes.
An hour and a half or so of PURE FEELS + BADASSERY should fix that right up.
I stopped when Professor started dancing. My god.. you were right. While its cool that they got the original cast back and all, the dialogue was cringe worthy and the art style was too abstract for my liking. The backgrounds were okay though.
to think this came out on my birthday... :'(

Supports cartoons being cartoony!I found it REALLY obnoxious near the end, and middle, and all throughout, but all-in-all, it was a trully honest attempt at recreating the series. It still kept the same action hero feel of the OS, and not try and change it like "Z" did.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceYeah, I'm not even going to poke Z with a stick after the things I've heard about it.
It was actually pretty funny to watch once you get pass the whole "WTF Japan?" deal.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI kinda enjoyed Z...
Yeah Dance Pantsed screwed with the established canon (Bubbles has ice breath now, apparently being rejected by a dance group is what caused Professor to get into science, NOT a volcano incident that the show established back in Season 4), but that wasn't the only issue I had with it.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!It was just hella obnoxious.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.To be honest, reviving the PPG doesn't sound that difficult. Make it a sequel series where they are teenagers (or at least middle school aged) and dealing with teenage issues like how in the original series they were dealing with children's issues.
Maybe they just don't want to and have moved on with their lives?
