[up] I thought the "blast processing" joke in its entirety was funny, actually, but that's fine.

One of those jokes that have to explain themselves, right?

Well, I suppose Sonic's voice acting did get more interesting, and the music had a new excuse for imitating the Back to the Future theme like that other Dic cartoon. It's lucky it wasn't actually time travel of the Langoliers variety.

That was great. I don't laugh much when watching comedies, but this gave me some good chuckles. The Blast Processing jab was good, Sonic and Tails being bros is always adorbs, and the "DO IT!" bit was a particular highlight.

Also Eggman's quip about not being happy to see him.

Very solid episode.

In the info box for a rerun of "Nutwork", They called Sticks "himself". This just raises further questions.

Makes about as much sense as anything else in this series.

Sticks was Mighty The Armadillo this whole time.

The biggest fan-

Sonic goes to Career day and meets his biggest fan, Mark the Taper. He's this universe's version of Chris-chan.

OMFG! They referenced his original bare arms!

And they reference the nsfw fanfics. SONAMY TOO!

AND THEY REFERENCED THE OVERUSED SPORTS TAPE!

I think this is my favorite episode so far! 10/10 Original Sonic the Hedgehog

Blast Processing! [lol]

Truly this show surpasses the games (based on the show).

Seriously, I don't get this blast processing joke.

Edit: Nevermind. Sega must have shit their pants from the reference.

I love this show.

Season 2 is definitely the best one around! This is how they should of written the series.

the creators have said Mark isn't based on anyone in particular.

Look man, the guy said it himself.

Hell, if the joke were a reference to CWC, he'd be refusing to paint the arms right, not saying the picture was unfinished. Not to mention the joke was something the fandom whined about before it ever became associated with him.

It's not even about the arms, it's just that Chris is the most infamous fan who obsessed over Sonic for years. Mark the Taper fits that description.

Except you need specific references to make it about more than just a normal looney fan.

The writing gets better and better.

Though a Misery pastiche, it immediately reminded me of this.

I literally did the "The Friend for LIIIIIFE!" bit whenever anyone said Mark's name.

I can sea Sonic's fear from here: First underwater episode. So Sonic could have learned but never did because of pride? Weird, but makes sense. Plus, Sonic almost drowning was probably the most suspenseful thing the show has done so far.

I don't know if it's just me, but this season's been kind of dull. I think the magic of having a Sonic cartoon again has kind of worn off. Or maybe it's because I don't really expect any connection to the games anymore, or because no one's posting anything from the creators about upcoming episodes ([down]in addition to the lack of advertisement)

I don't know. The first season came around and I was hyped to learn more about the setting and characters. Even when those dreams were dashed each new episode was something to discuss, and this thread was definitely more active. At this point though I'm just looking up the episodes I missed on Youtube every 3-5 weeks.

Funny how YMMV that can be, because I've gotten a renewed interest in the show after dropping off for a while. They've been pretty gosh darn funny to me.

Do you think Warner Bros. would've made a great Sonic cartoon?
