Well then, how about this one?

Great quote, but the picture isn't saying near as much as the text.
I still prefer the gun.
Check out my fanfiction!I've only looked at it on iPhone, but I can't tell what's going on in the gun picture. (Don't explain it for me, I mean it only as a statement of clarity.)
I think I'd like 27 with the second panel removed, as for this trope's purposes it does little if anything.
I don't like the gun picture; it shows me nothing.
The others are mostly Tempting Fate. 27 does more tell than show, but I think the telling is warranted to that level in this case.
I must be cruel, but to be kind That bad may begin, and worse be left behindA two-panel version.

Lampshading of Nominal Importance, IMHO.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I see lots of people criticizing the suggestions but I see nobody suggesting exactly how an image alone could possibly illustrate this trope.
I'm still of the opinion that the trope can't be illustrated with a picture alone, although I'm willing to be proven wrong.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMSee my post at 22 for a possible route.
Alternatively, what about Edna Mode's pet peeve towards capes?

I can't see what's happening in the two latter small ones.
Check out my fanfiction!I think that's the bad guy from Mulan getting hit with a cannon shot, although I don't see how that goes with the "no cape" theme.
So, the dialogue balloon had to be photoshopped in because it's an auditory medium, and the other images are from other films? That's really sketchy to me, though I guess it does illustrate a possible route...
That is correct. He got hit by the firework rocket because he was stuck in place after his cape/cloak got pinned down by Mulan using his sword.
That's right...it's been a looooong time since I've seen Mulan.
So, anyway, having to explain it gives a clear unclear for me. Are there better images to replace with?
Check out my fanfiction! There is a montage of "no capes!" scenarios from the same movie...
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I did consider that but I can't seem to find good images from that montage. Every time I try pausing a video of it, it just looks too blurry.
Then either that's just the way the montage is, or you're using the wrong format for getting decent screengrabs.
No I looked, no good frames, the scenes in that sequence are slow, slow, slow, FAST... too motion-blurry. There are a couple of okay frames of Syndrome getting his cape caught late in the movie, but that isn't enough to make a collage out of I don't think, not super clear.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. In other words, that's just the way the montage is. :)
As a picture 35 would actually work well. In the movie he's saying 'no capes' because of things that have happened in their world but the picture makes it look like he's saying it because of stories.
See my response at post 38.
I think just Edna saying "No Capes" and a picture of Syndrome's cape getting caught in his jet turbine would show why Edna's saying that.
Spoilerrific.

I think that's completely Tempting Fate, bordering on Genre Blind even.
