I wonder if there is a wider variety to the supernatural foes in this game besides werewolf-esque half-breeds.
Stand Fast, Stand Strong, Stand TogetherI saw a QTE that had multiple choices.
I kind of want to see that theme of inequality explored a bit. Maybe your rich bosses do some unethical things at some point, or maybe the devs can create a situation that sympathizes with the poor, or at least explains their motivations.

Eh its interesting to an actually grimdark Steampunk game but honestly it looks like a Gears ripoff.
Honestly, if I'm gonna play Gears I wanna play Gears, not a Gears clone.
They sound ambitious. I really hope that ambition doesn't kill them in the long run.
I just realised that Medi Evil 2 was set in 1886. Sir Dan will have a cameo in The Order 1886
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pier"Gameplay is something that... it's a game, we make games, we can't get around it. We love games, but we also love telling stories, so I think story is always going to be at the top because it's what we start with. "
Ew Ew Ew Ew
I have to wonder if you're the first person to make that connection. That would be pretty interesting as a DLC mission, in any case.

Lead developer of The Order 1886 defends the use of 30 fps instead of something higher, like 60.
choice quote:
"If you push that to 60, and you have it look the way we do, it actually would end up looking like something on the Discovery Channel, like an HDTV kind of segment or a sci-fi original movie maybe. Which doesn't quite have the kind of look and texture that we want from a movie. The escapism you get from a cinematic film image is just totally different than what you get from television framing, so that was something we took into consideration.
"Then, on top of it, I don't know of any other games that are gonna look like our game in real-time with no pre-rendered movies, with all the stuff that's going on lighting-wise, and run at 60. I think that's probably the thing that most people underestimate is [that] to make a game look like this—the way that they're lit, the number of directional lights that we have… We don't have a game where you're just outside in sunlight, so there's one light. We have candles flickering, fires, then characters have lights on them. So [to make] all those lights [work] with this fidelity means, I think, until the end of this system most people won't have any clue how to make that run 60 and look like this."
You know, when you think about it, the stuff he said here come off as BS, at least to me. I don't honestly believe in most cases that a higher framerate changes the aesthetic of the game that much. That sounds like a poor excuse to cover up for either their inability to properly push a game like this to 60 or the hardware's inability to do it. It's perfectly possible to go for a filmic look on a video game and still maintain 60. I mean, just look at the Max Payne games or Call of Juarez Gunslinger.

TB made video on that statement <_<
And yeah, its bullshit PR statement to avoid stating that PS 4 can't do that/they haven't had enough time to figure out how to do both high fps and high graphics at same time.
Also, as person who got new computer recently... Yes, high framerate DOES change experience for better by much. EVERY game that I played on last computer is now much smoother with new computer. Not because graphical textures are better, but because framerate is much better than previously

Inside Gaming did an interview that had a ton of gameplay in it, including a thermite gun.
Eeeeeeeesh *shudder* That can go under Ironic Nursery Rhyme.
Yeah I can't wait for this game to come out. The PS 4 is severely lacking in a 3rd person shooter with a good story. Hope this delivers cause I LOVE the setting.

Yeah, I hope it's good too.
Just need my tax returns, then trade in all my PS 3 stuff to a ps4. Then when the game comes out, I'll get it.
Watch SymphogearI'm excited for this one, and I really really want it to be a hands down great game, but I'm in wait-and-see mode until I can see some reviews and, more importantly, hear player impressions on the full game.
If nothing else, it's in the top echelon of games with great graphics. Not just texture/model/lighting detail, but image quality too. It's actually hard to spot aliasing, and the depth of field and motion blur effects look ace. Taken together, it'll probably be the best looking game on the new consoles for a decent while.
this place needs me hereYeah, it's not often that you see a game where the graphics seamlessly go from cutscene to gameplay.
The gameplay itself certainly looks solid, too.
The Soft Body Physics engine is probably part of this.

The narrator sounds like Corey Burton.
And if you want gameplay
