I'd be down for moving the whole shebang to Just for Fun and then letting the criteria be "things people remember to add." Still get rid of placeholders and death gurgles, but since we're stalled on a definition I think that'd work.

Should we make a crowner or discuss other options?

I suggest a single-proposition.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. The thing is, that was an option in the old crowner and it didn't fare well. I cannot for the life of me figure out why, but it's worth noting. I'd support a single-prop crowner, though.

Sorry to doublepost, but I found something that I thought should be mentioned. On the Doctor Who page, someone added a bunch of examples without the actual last words...or the name of the person who said them. Just * "." [[spoiler:]]. I mean, seriously.
Yeah. There's also issues on Young Justice; one section has an inexplicably spoiled out name, we have characters whose Famous Last Words are "no" or just "...", and the Comics and Video Game sections are just placeholders.
Oh, plus that spoiled section? Those were (actual spoiler for the episode) just simulated deaths in a training exercise. Only five of the characters were real, the rest were just part of the simulation. And even the real people didn't die, of course.

Yeah, it's like nrjxll was talking about at the top of this page: We have a pretty loose definition of "famous" here, but if the troper adding the example can't remember the last words, then they don't count. That's just...yeah. It's like how sometimes you'll come across examples on normal pages along the lines of "I can't remember what this is from, but some Canadian tv show or something had psychic powers." And yes, I have seen that before.
So: Just for Fun or not, that Young Justice page really doesn't seem acceptable.
Too tired to do anything more than bump.
Should we get a single prop crowner for moving to Just for Fun?

...Okay, that is a case for there being at least some quantifiable definition of "famous".
